Had a delicious whole lobster for a great price, and an AMAZING drink called a Painkiller. We returned later and the girls who worked there remembered what we drank the time before. Very pleasant, but not the most comfortable seating for someone with a cane.

We went for oyster happy hour and ended up eating a lot more! We got tacos and crab dip too - everything was delicious and we talked about going back later that same weekend on our visit to Wilmington!

We didn't check out reviews because we just wanted to try it. The food and service were both very good and the price was just right.

Had to have spiced, steamed shrimp, so I let my feet take me here. Thank you, feet! Serious seafood lover's haunt. The shrimp was FRESH and perfectly spiced (Old Bay, but they have other versions if you really have to...). The steamer bucket the folks down the bar ordered was packed and declared very tasty. Wasn't going to let myself... More

This is a tiny bar, with two tables, and 3 high tops. The staff is nice, and the food is standard bar food quality. Oysters are good. But, they only have one high chair, zero boosters. If you are looking for a place to take the whole family, go anywhere else. Seriously.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for supper, and were welcomed by the lady bartender, who told us to just sit wherever we like. Talk about a casual, no frills place! They barely give you plates! We ordered a platter for two of shrimp, sausage, and potatoes, all steamed. It was tasty and plentiful, although without proper utensils it was... More

I hesitate to write a review of a restaurant because they can change overnight. Well, this is my second visit to the "Shack" in several months and the food was actually better than the first. They opened 4 years ago and have become very popular and are even franchising. It's a small friendly place with a long bar, TVs, and... More

My sister and I went there on a rainy Saturday evening. I ordered an oyster po' boy and she ordered a salad topped with blackened shrimp. There must have been a dozen oysters on my sandwich. I couldn't keep them all in it and shared the oysters that were falling off. The oysters were cooked perfectly. They were very lightly... More

Atmosphere was good. We stopped for lunch with the kids who enjoyed looking at all the surfboards and stuff hanging around the bar. Food was eh and everything was fried. The place had a weird smell to it as well.

My waitress from the Olive Garden, Meaghan; recommended this place. She said her cousin, or some relative; is manager. My cousin and her husband met me...and my pet rabbit....in Wilmington, so we ate here after visiting the USS NORTH CAROLINA (BB55). It's very cozy and rustic. As it was Halloween weekend, many people in the crowded bar, were dressed in... More
