The food is good and is NOT really "basic." This is a misnomer and I'm not sure why it's named as such. There are many special items on the menu. However I felt like some comfort food and had a meatloaf that could have had...More

This restaurant met our needs well as we were looking for a simple place with several choices for lunch while we were shopping in a unique shopping area called the Cotton Gin. Signage was poor from any level other than street level. Located a significant...More

This is traditional southern fare. It is good but not great. Service was a bit slow. Overall, there are many better restaurants in Wilmington, NC.

I had heard this place was great but I did not find there was much variety on the dinner menu. It was also highly priced for dinner. I would suggest going for lunch.

Had lunch with a coworker during a conference in Wilmington and tried the Basics. Very nice local place with a variety of menu options. I had the chicken salad as a sandwich and it was excellent; very flavorful and quite generous in portion. My coworker...More

If you are asking about Wilmington I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. If you're asking about Cancun and Villa del Palmar, we had transportation from the airport, but had to pay our own way back.
