One of the best restaurants in Waynesville. Always a treat and reasonably priced for the type of food. It can be hard to get a table for dinner without a reservation.

Had a 7:30 Saturday night reservation, called for our table after a 5 minute wait at the bar, just the right time to get a beer & glass of wine. The service & food were both excellent. We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the seafood shepherd's pie & sunburst trout as our entries. All 3 were excellent, sorry no... More

Met friends here for dinner and was generally pleased. Service was friendly and prompt. We loved the ahi tuna appetizer , crab cakes and complimentary biscuits. The ahi tuna nachos, however, were completely void of ahi tuna and had fake crab? instead. Pretty disappointing and misleading. Stick with the seared tuna instead.

The wild mushroom bruschetta is delicious. We have eaten here several times and the food has been great every time. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is excellent.

If I lived in Waynesville, I would be at this restaurant every day that I could. The onion soup would be my lunch every single day. The complimentary cheddar biscuits are delicious, the tri tip roast is buttery and satisfying, and my husband thinks the meatloaf here might be the best he's ever had. They carry local beers, of which... More

We went here on the recommendation of a local. We were pleased. My husband got the pasta special, and I chose the trout. Both were prepared well, with excellent complementary flavors. My fish was fresh tasting and the sauce was not overwhelming. The bacon cheese grits were hearty and full of flavor. The seating and room shape of the restaurant... More

Came back here after 5 years - I used to always get the tri-tip roast, but it was not near as good as it used to be. It seemed fatty and the cheese grits were bland. I would give a lower score, but they used to be great. Maybe I came back on an off day...

My Wife and I ate here for a nice dinner after nice day of just walking around Waynesville. The atmosphere was nice. We were seated over looking the street and it was nice to be able to look out and see the surroundings. The food was good. I had the special which was a rip-eye and it was tasty and... More

This place was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. Loved the old time feel of the place with brick interior and wood beams. Started with the signature crispy onions - delicious. The complementary biscuits were also very good. I had the trout with lemon sauce and my husband had the soy marinated salmon with salsa. Everything was perfection - the... More

A lovely restaurant with nice atmosphere and consistently great food. Their French Onion Soup is always a favorite, as well as the pulled pork sandwich. They also have a great variety of daily specials.
