...on the way down I95 and on the way back four days later because it was that good. Not only is the food delicious and the restaurant very clean, but the staff are the friendliest of any fast food restaurant anywhere. They make you feel very at home and make sure all your needs are met. Nothing is too much... More

Eat in or carry-out, it was worth getting a bit off the Interstate to try North Carolina-style BBQ. Slightly spicy and vinegar-based rather than tomato-based, the pulled pork was excellent. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The dinning room has a nostalgic and fun decor that includes a complete lavatory for hand washing and a neon sign. Prices are reasonable -... More

We go to Smithfeilds twice a year when we visit family in NC. The BBQ pork sandwich is awesome, so is the fried chicken the service is excellent the restaurant and bathrooms are spotless. Smithfeilds is a must if you visit NC.

We stopped by to grab a good NC BBQ sandwich on our way back home to Northern VA. It's one of our favorite spots. We had a sandwich there and then I asked for the large BBQ picnic to go--a pint of BBQ, a pint of slaw and some hush puppies. They even packed the BBQ and slow in ice... More

We frequent Smithfield's Chicken'n Bar-B-Q pretty often. Today I went thru the drive-thru and got the chicken tenders, fries and sweet tea. The chicken tenders had the best flavor and were cooked perfectly.

So much great food for such a good price! Our kids who now live in NC brought us here for a special treat.

Family enjoyed the choices, the food, and the service. They even come around to the tables to refill beverages.

Limping along Interstate 95’s stucco and outlet-store bottlenecks around Smithfield, NC, you can find a suitable spot to eat provided you’re more into novelty than nutrition. Leave the interstate at Smithfield, head a little west onto Brightleaf Road, parallel to 95, and stop under the bright red sign for Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q. This is the headquarters store of a... More

We stopped here n after trying Lexington BBQ we were so happy. Bed the flavor and the vinegar sauce. Hush puppies were good always like slaw on my sandwich.
