The line for lunch was usually long. The food, very good. But it burnt down a while back and the land is now for sale. I'm guessing it will not be back. Not in this Wake Forest Rd. location anyway.

Bali Hai formerly on Wake Forest Road was great. Problem is they had a fire about a year ago and have closed and the building has been torn down and a "for sale" sign is up. The owners say they are going to rebuild or...More
My husband has family in the Raleigh area and we like to visit at least one a year. Every time we come out, we stop at the Bali Hai for a treat. Do not judge the restaurant on how it looks. The decor really needs...More
Ok, it's Mongolian style and the folks who to here know to heap up those bowls before they go on the grill. The food is very good, only slightly overpriced for what you get, but you can get a lot of food here. The decor...More

The food is pretty good. You'll make your own bowls and you can fill em up pretty good and have a lot to eat. Prices aren't all that bad. You can give a number from 1-10 to determine how spicy you want it. I usually...More
Your homemade stir fry will NEVER taste like this. Not the greatest atmosphere, but the food is awesome
There is no menu. You get a bowl and pile it with veggies (and frozen shredded meat if you choose). Some people shamelessly stack food and eat obscene amounts. Even without doing that, it's a good value. About $8 for lunch and you can choose...More
Nothing else like it in Raleigh. Loads of flavor, as spicy as you want it. Fantastic value. The decor is low end, but the staff is super friendly. We eat there almost once a week. Must try it. Turkey, beef and pork. Nice veggie selection....More
