We met friends here for dinner on Friday. Fortunately we met right after they opened because it looked like they had a line shortly after we arrived and still had one when we left around 8 (we lingered because we're from out of town). I had the trout and it was great. Our waitress, Courtney, was excellent. She catered to... More

It's always a really fun place to go. We love the food and have gone for years. My husband loves the warm water lobster when on the menu. Drinks are good and always great service. Sometimes we are there when they have live music. Love it!!

Just sat at the bar for some drinks and apps. Cold shrimp and calamari hit the spot. Had to ask for hush puppies tho. Only thing I hate is smelling like greasy fried food when I leave.

We stopped here because of having had a good experience here around 13 years ago. Nothing changed- except we can't eat as much as we used to be able to😀. So I would suggest not filling up on the delicious cornmeal hush puppies. We left with enough food for the next days lunch. Ps our waitress filled up a to... More

This restaurant has been a mainstay in the Raleigh area for seafood. We go to the oyster bar for steamed oysters. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The setup for steamed oysters is great and the hushpuppies and butter are the best.

Visited THE a Oyster bar. This place oozes southern character. Have your Oysters rare or cooked many ways. Great service from friendly knowledgable staff.

If oysters are not your thing, their menu has so many great selections that you are likely to be torn when deciding what to order. Our group had raw and cooked oysters, hot crab and artichoke dip (fantastic) and bacon wrapped scallops as appetizers, then steaks, fried green tomatoes, oyster stew, fried cod, and grilled chicken for dinner. Full bar,... More

As a native North Carolinian with strong ties to the coast, I am an unapologetic seafood snob. Frozen and out of season is never an options. The fried and steamed oysters are simply the best. The hush puppies are the right combination of crispy and creamy. The prices are reasonable. The staff from manager to bus boy are always professional... More
