A few co-workers and I randomly stopped by Gravy during our stay in Downtown Raleigh. We are from out of town but had heard great things from the locals. Well, they weren't wrong! They were able to accommodate our table of 8 without a reservation, which was a pleasant surprise. The food and service was all fantastic! I ordered the... More

I went here with my wife for date night and had a wonderful experience. I noticed that during the daytime this place is jam packed with professionals dining, however once nighttime arrived ~ it actually became pretty romantic. Everything was great including our server and the overall service as a whole. However, the dinner was a bit too rich for... More

With a name like "Gravy", I almost expected to see Paulie, Tony, and Big Pussy sitting down over plates of chicken parm, manicotti, rigatoni, and draining bottles of Chianti and making toasts over Sambuca. This Italian eatery in downtown Raleigh is not the checkered tablecloth type of establishment found in Little Italy's but rather a modern restaurant with nice wood... More

Based on the ratings, I was expecting to be mind-blown; but, alas I was not. The restaurant was busy was I expected our server to be slow waiting on 5 people, but what our wait was a little bit ridiculous...I'll get to that. The appetizers (Risotto balls) were great. I could/should have just filled up on those, but again based... More

I visited Gravy today for a birthday party. It was wonderful! The staff was excellent and the food was delicious! We had the risotto balls to start. I ate lasagna. It was the best! We also ordered chicken parmesan and eggplant parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs. All of the food was phenomenal!! No complaints from the 8 of us. Dessert... More

Yes,Yes, Yes. Gravy is amazing! We were a few minutes late because we couldn't find parking, but I had made a reservation and sooo happy I did. They were full and people were still coming looking for a table or putting there name in. I started with risotto balls and they were great. The sauce that they sit on is... More

My son and I visited Gravy on a Friday night and got right in. The service was good so was the food. He got spaghetti and meatballs and it was deeelish. I would not rate it as good as a NY Italian eatery, but definitely a must try for a southern Italian eatery. My favorite part was the endless garlic... More

Our department settled on this restaurant for lunch. I have to say... the place was great. Due to our group size that they had to limit what you could pick from their menu. Fine me with, because the food was great. Thank you for a great experience.

Description
Ask any Italian-American what ‘gravy’ is, and they'll tell you it's the pasta sauce that their mothers and grandmothers cooked fresh every night. At Gravy Restaurant we take the same care, preparing our signature sauce every day using select tomatoes and locally grown herbs. The heart and soul poured into the preparation of traditional Italian-American dishes pairs with inspired modern twists and a focus on seasonal ingredients to define Gravy’s unique approach to this classic cuisine.
