Found this pub, just off the A41 whilst on a long journey with 2 dogs. Ample car park. Dogs welcomed inside. Place was spotless. Warm welcome. Varied menu. Breakfast made to order so fresh and hot. Certainly beats motorway services.

We used to love this pub and they used to serve the best scampi here with a gorgeous crab mayonnaise - where is it?! The menu has been turned upside down and is establishing itself as a gastropub menu, but with lots of frills and...More

Superb looking pub with a nice courtyard for a sunny day. Unfortunately the once nice views out the back are blighted by what appears to be 2 storey accommodation. We didn't bother eating due to not fancying anything on the menu. I was somewhat startled...More

The bar area is rather small so if there is live music and lots of people meeting before sitting down there is not much space. The dining room is good but layout means that if you are on one of the two tables for two...More

A family get together which was very well handled by the staff when it must have seemed to them that they were "herding cats". The building is fairly old but has been well and sympathetically modernised. Plenty of outside chairs and spaces for pre lunch...More

My partner and I stopped off at this place on our way back home from a business trip and I must say we were quite pleasantly surprised. Neither of us could pick any fault with our mains. Great portion sizes and quality produce for a...More
