This is an excellent place to enjoy a great cup of coffee and to plan for the rest of your day. The service is great, very personable and helpful with directions. I highly recommend the Front Porch Cafe for anyone looking for a spot to relax and plan for the rest of you day while at the OBX

Never heard the term "Latte Macchiato"? Well most people haven't. Just for terminology justification sake, it's a Starbucks term, many people get bent out of shape and begin to justify the term. It's a drink! Not a terminology. At any rate, the most important part of this review, is that I was out of town visiting the OBX and my... More

The coffee and espresso have a great flavor that's not covered up by the syrups in the espresso drinks. Service was personable; enjoyed talking with who appeared to be the owner or manager. Will definitely be back while in town!

Was looking for a local coffee/tea shop, non-commercialized for a chai latte. Being the first day of fall, they were offering a pumpkin chai latte... excellent. Made me feel at home in PA with such a fall treat. Bonus was the spinach feta and leek pastry braid. Texture of a flaky and fresh croissant, warm and layered like a turnover.... More

We wanted a family friendly coffee shop with menus items for all ages. We got this here. A local favorite according to many and so we went for breakfast during our week stay at the OBX. We had a sugar filled morning but none of us complained. Chocolate filled croissants, ham and cheese croissants(warmed) hot chocolate, mochas, almond milk latte,... More

This was really some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered the Brazilian coffee and had them do the pour-over. It was excellent; clean, distinctive, high quality flavor, free of any off-taste, not acid or bitter. I did not think it was overly strong. I had a refill of the Sumatran, which was also quite good though this... More

Good coffee a bit strong so for those coffee lovers you will like it. Nice selection of pastries etc but I didn't try any. Neat atmosphere quite the social spot.

Yep, it's strong--brewed full strength! Unbelievable that some restaurants cut the amount of coffee they use when brewing coffee--just makes the coffee more bitter. We do however offer 3 different coffees each day so you will find a light, medium, and dark roast each day. Tip: if you find your coffee a bit on the strong side, ask the barista... More

We went twice during the week! Raspberry filled pastry & mocha latte exceeded expectations. Get there early or you might miss out on fresh pastries!
