Started with the shrimp spring rolls and they weren't particularly good. The steak was very good, if slightly under-cooked. They have a full bar, which is nice. Service was friendly. Atmosphere is nice.

As a resident of Mt. Airy and a lover of fine dining, I am thrilled to have Trio here. The food is fresh, local, and seasonal. The presentation is beautiful, and the dishes are creative. After dinner (or sometimes even lunch), I like to have...More

We stopped in Andy Griffith's hometown of Mount Airy, and had a fabulous dinner at Trio. My husband orders wild salmon as often as he can find it, and said it was the "best he's had in a long time." The carmelized onion and goat...More

We were a little reluctant to eat dinner here as we had seen there was not too many really great restaurants in the downtown area. Lots of ok places, but we wanted something special. Well, we found one. Located just a little out of the...More

Ate Lunch here during the Mayberry Days Festival. Food was excellent. They had a variety on the menu and a lunch special that day. Had the grilled chicken sandwich with mushroom soup. Have also had the chicken salad. Would recommend either one!

This is definitely Mt. Airy's best restaurant. Enjoyed the shrimp, scallops and crab cakes along with a few appetizers, soup and Caesar salad all excellent. There is full cocktail service with all top shelf liquor at reasonable prices. Our waitress Chynna was a real gem.

While a little off the beaten path, and can be hard to find, it is most definitely worth it!!! Everyone is very polite, and will help in anyway possible. Chris the head chef and owner walks the place and chats with the guests often. Every...More

After all the places touting Andy Griffith and Barney and Goober, it was kind of a surprise to find this gem. The food was excellent. I had a really nice fried oyster salad - a dozen friend oysters on a bed of spinach with gorgonzola...More

This is the third time that I’ve dined at the restaurant. The first time we actually had a nice experience. The second time was pretty poor but we thought that maybe they just had an off night. I came here for the third time on...More

Description
Went their for dinner on Satruday night. Head and shoulders above any other options in Mount Airy. Chef Wishart, formerly at Cross Creek Country Club, does a great job. Trio has only been open 4 weeks. Very nice menu and list of daily specials. EWell chsen and decently priced wine list. Celebrated my father's 96 birthday and we were not disappointed!! Very memorable evening.
