This restaurant closed in the fall of 2016 but relocated to Pine and 19th Streets. It is now Candy Sue's Cafe offering a "country cooking" buffet, including their famous chicken salad and Boston Butt and a salad bar. Good food!

Fun atmosphere! Delicious food. Our server was Betsy, and she delighted us with her Southern wit and charm. With her advice, we decided on a Friday special, the fish and shrimp dinner, which included 2 sides. I had my fish and shrimp broiled, my husband,...More

The food is always good. It is served cafeteria a la Carte style. You pick the items you want and pay accordingly. The building is a renovated old hardware with exposed bricks and beams-very cool!

You can, but not really necessary. Bar area gets pretty noisy around 8. If you want some Eastern NC BBQ then go to Tommys BBQ on N Pine Street. (they are on Trip Advisor) open Tues - Fri from 11 to 7pm.

Need to add this. The original Candy Sue's is on Pine Street in Lumberton, and just moved to a 2nd, larger, location downtown. Good menu.
