Hidden gem first rate drinks in a cozy authentic atmosphere. The fried pickles spears were the best I've ever had the coating was a light cornmeal dredge which gave a light crispy crunch. The steamed kale salad with local goat cheese pecan encrusted medallions was the perfect side with small bbq sandwiches. Go early things fill up quickly.

This is a hidden gem! There is music on Wednesday and a small bar in the back with excellent service. The barbecue is awesome!

I love how this place looks from the minute you enter. Its high country charm takes you back in time. There was also a guy on guitar, playing carols & other old country/deep south favorites, which added to the ambiance. No one welcomed us so we wandered around until we saw the counter to order food in the back. Once... More

On our recent trip to Banner Elk, our host said we were going to this little place that was not exactly a restaurant and not exactly a bar. A little fear of the unknown kicked in. When we arrived, I didn't want to get out of the car. Boy am I glad I did! It was to pleasant, quaint and... More

We've been here several times either while staying in Linville, or getting a Christmas Tree. The cocktail menu is phenomenal and they use a good number of NC liquors and beers. The BBQ, Turkey and sides also make this a good spot for lunch.

I love this little place 5 minutes from my cabin. I always take visitors here for the experience. Old country store with great BBQ. I always get collards and Mac and cheese to take out back and sit under old shade trees. Love the new bar where Morgan and Charles create some delicious specialty cocktails and serve up great craft... More

We found this place online and it had excellent reviews. We went mid afternoon so the place was quiet. We had the BBQ plate and it was very good! My husband cleaned his plate and finished up my daughter's BBQ. The portions are good but he really liked it! We will definitely go back next time we are in the... More

Have eaten here several times es during game the last few years and they are consistently great. We ate outside on the porch on a beautiful fall day but could still enjoy the live music from inside. Barbecue was awesome as well as fried pickles, slaw and blackberry cobbler.

Came here on a referral from a friend. It's probably one of the coolest places to eat and be entertained. The food is totally awesome. I had a BBQ sandwich and it was really good and the order of fries were more than I could eat. My wife had the toddlers plate with BBQ and pea salad. I can said... More
