Have eaten from them many many times. The food did not taste the same today 4-17-24. I had to throw away my hush puppies…cooked much earlier or leftovers. The chicken was not the same seasoning …nothing in the plate tasted the same. The plate was...much skimpy. Cake $4.00 + per slice! Wow! Also young lady serving the food did not want to get a slice of cake for me. I had passed the cake and was going to the register I asked her to get me a slice of cake and she hollered out in front of the rest of the customers “you get those when you come in as you pass it so you know the next time” little did she know that I’ve eaten there many times. I just didn’t know in the moment that I wanted the cake. There was no need for that. You don’t even talk to a first time customer in that tone. Very sad that they have gotten to this level.More

Thursday, March 23, 2017 - Approximately 5:00am - I can't sleep, can't stay in the room, so I thought I would get out and take a quiet drive and just chill. I was hungry and came across Smith's Cafe. It just so happened that they...were just opening. So I stopped in. When I tried to open the door it was still locked. When I turned to walk back to the truck, a lady unlocked the door and asked me to come in. Once inside, there were 3 other customers who were obviously regulars and the cook and dishwasher. There are two sides to the cafe. One side has booths and the other side has tables. I was told to sit anywhere I wanted, so I took a booth. The cafe in general is well lit and looked clean. The cook, who was also my server asked me what I wanted to drink and I said coffee. Once she brought the coffee, she asked what I wanted to eat. I hadn't even looked at the menu. The menu's were already on the table, so I looked it over. I ordered 3 eggs sunny side up. I had a choice of grits, hash browns or rice and I chose the grits, 2 sausage patties and I had a choice of toast or a biscuit and I chose toast. I had to wait no time at all for my order and the food overall was good. The toast is made on the grill and they use something to press it down in order to toast it, so the toast comes out thin or pressed down, but it was good. Grits were fine, not too watery or too stiff. Eggs were good. The whole meal was good. Out the door it was $8.50. Would I eat here again? Sure.More

Great place to dine with family, we normally go after church on Sundays, staff are very courteous, restaurant is clean and comforting they make you feel at home, this restaurant has a cafeteria type feel but that doesn't take away from the great dining experience

My family eats here on a regular basis. The breakfast is awesome! George is the owner and very nice. Pleasant staff. You get your food very fast. And you feel at home. Clean establishment. Prices are normal for the style restaurant.
