Breakfast was good and the staff is super attentive and friendly. A local warm feeling, too bad its not open on Sundays.

The country ham and eggs breakfast was outstanding. Hash browns and green peppers and onions really good.

Eat local - two eggs scrambled perfectly, home fries, excellent country ham, and a griddled biscuit. Perfect! Owner is third generation.

This is a cafeteria-style restaurant and offers several choices of entrees, sides, breads and desserts. Food is very good, fresh and hot. Prices are reasonable and the place is clean. Good choice when in downtown Kinston.

Pork with dumplings -- a first for me. Add in some sides -- Yum! And the ladies working there could not have nicer. If you are passing through, make it a point to visit.

Wonderful staff and very homey. No finer ham biscuit anywhere! And the food, chicken, beef, corn, greens, green beans, everything is good enough to serve company!

There may be posher places, but it’s hard to beat the eggs done right, country ham, grits, and biscuits at Christopher’s. A local favorite, the register is staffed by Christopher himself and the menu is largely unchanged since they moved to their current location in the 1969. The coffee is strong, the prices are fair, and the ambiance is totally... More

According to their sign Christopher's has been serving lunch and breakfast since 1969 and aside from a few faults they do it right. Those faults are ones common to many low cost diners, non0dairy creamers ('although they will bring you milk for your coffee if you ask, margarine, not butter on the tables and used for cooking, and syrup and... We knew right away that we were in a classic, small town-home town venue. A great restuaurant that's been here for years. Fabulous breakfast....I had the corned beef hash, which was great. Eggs benedict were top notch...grilled biscuits were ridiculously good. Great service, wonderful time..and a "must go" breakfast location in you're visiting Kinston.
