My wife and I always try to make it to The Flying Fish when we are in the area, this time was no different. We celebrated our anniversary with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and enjoyed a couple of Beef Filets. We topped off the evening with a Chocolate Hurricane for desert. Thank you Carol Ann for the service. Looking... More

We attended a five course, five wine dinner and the food was excellent, well though out and nicely proportioned. They did an excellent job and are highly recommended.

This was a wonderful dining experience. Extensive wine menu, excellent service and food. I would highly recommend. They utilize open table so our seating was immediate when we arrived.

Was visiting a friend in Corolla and decided to go to dinner. It was a little far but decided to go there. It was so worth the driver. We had the crab spread (which was a little lite on the crab) and the calamari (very light and tasty - not rubbery at all). Had the mahi which the waitress recommended.... More

Only 6 tables filled when we arrived at 7pm Sat. Night. Strange, from all the good reviews we'd read. Our waiter was good. Instantly told us the cheese cake was unavailable , that chef had not made it early enough to set in time for Sat. Night dinner. The calamari we ordered was subpar... Breading fell off, and it was... This was our first trip to the Outer Banks in over 20 years. And since I did not know hardly anything about dinning in the area, except for the Trip Advisor information, I picked the Flying Fish because it seemed like it was our best prospect of having a very special occasion. The Flying Fish turned out to be a... More

After great visits in 2013 and '14 but a lackluster experience in 2015 (service and several parts of our meals), we decided to give Flying Fish another try this year. I'm glad we did. Although reception when we arrived both times this year was matter-of-fact and not very welcoming (with almost no customers there at our early arrival), we were... More

Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience. Our server Vitaly was so attentive, warm, professional and a joy to know. The food was off the charts good! Thank you sous chef Sanchez and fellow chefs. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and so well seasoned. Everything was so delicious. Thank you Kevin and Charlotte. You all made my birthday... More

We recently spent the week at the beach in Kill Devil Hills. We had a condo so prepped our own meals a lot. We did have one nice dinner out at the Flying Fish. We both had an excellent meal with great service. It is fancy on the inside but looks kind of shady on the outside. We would definitely... More
