Taberna Tapas is the Chicago of tapas joints compared to the New York or LA or Mateo. Here you'll be greeted warmly by the proprietor Dan and his staff. You'll get really good food at an excellent value and it will be clear that your...More

Nice Tapas for lunch enjoyed the 2 for 10.00. My friend and I shared 4 small plates which was actually too much. Will come again.

I was in downtown Durham solo and after looking at a few restaurant menus chose Taberna Tapas. I had Skirt Steak with Chimmichurri Sauce and a Grapefruit and Rosemary mocktail, served excellently by Dan. The tapas was tasty and filling, accompanied by fried potato rounds....More

A wonderfully diverse menu that includes multiple seafood, vegetarian and hardy dishes to please all palates. The bacon wrapped dates are a fantastic appetizer or dessert and the paellas are excellent. A solid wine selection with liquor and beer options as well makes this our...More

Went to Taberna Tapas with two friends very early evening. The restaurant was deserted with the exception of two tables. The host had difficulty finding our reservation, but he did eventually find it and put us at a table in the back closest to the...More

We ate here and ordered 6-7 different dishes. The restaurant was pretty quiet but it didn't feel like you were in a Tapas restaurant. The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and potatoes was good as was the fried calamari and paella. The croquettes were pretty...More

We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. We made reservations early because of the holiday weekend. Jennifer served with great but not intrusive care. She explained the dishes and was an excellent guide. The tapas were spit on to our experience in Spain. We will...More

We had a large party that was easily accommodated. I think we ordered just about everything on the menu too! I very much enjoyed the salmon, the spicy lamb (though the croquettes were too soft), and the various paella dishes. Great drink selection as well.

My wife and I shared several small plates and we each had a dessert. Crab cakes with butternut squash puree were ok, but nothing special. Littleneck clams with chorizo were excellent - juicy and fresh tasting. Red potato tortilla was excellent. Shrimp flatbread was also...More

I am just a customer who lives a block away. You should call the restaurant and ask. As far as I know, they do not currently have customers eating outside on the sidewalk. However, I do know because the owner Chris has shown... More
