I was over charged for my beer and both my fish and chips and my wife's chicken sandwich were much overdone. Music was too loud to talk. The patio was comfortable otherwise. It was disappointing that they had nothing for veterans on Veterans Day.

We've walked by Bull McCabe's plenty of times and have even drunk at the bar before, but we finally stopped in to dine on a whim on a Saturday night. We sat in the patio area overlooking the grassy field. The atmosphere was very family-friendly, with kids everywhere. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was decent -- about what' you'd... Honestly, I have really tried to like this place. They have a gorgeous outside fenced section that's dog friendly, and have a menu that is pretty decent pub food, really. However, the service is consistently terrible. On this occasion I was just there for drinks, and I had to wait quite a while due to a good line at the... More

Good selection of beers on tap. This is a local place that has a mix of family and friends. Friendly staff and good service. They prepare their own corned beef for their Reuben and it matters. We've been there several times and have always had a good meal at a fair price.

I enjoy giving reviews because I believe a great job has to be recognized, but I also believe that poor quality of work has to be called on. My first impression for this bar was made by the careless male bartender with a beard. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and were greeted by the bartender who I... More

We had the misfortune to visit this scruffy pub during the annual arts festival. The appeal seemed to be the pub's deck that overlooks a small park - which for the occasion had a sound stage. We ordered drinks and food. The $7 price tag for Asheville's excellent Wicked Weed was wicked in itself and the mini cardboard bowls for... More

Have been here a few times on recent visits. It's always fairly crowded with locals, all friendly and talkative - we have a good time meeting new people. Haven't had the food, but everyone there says it's good.

The family decided to try Bull McCabe's for lunch in downtown Durham. Hostess was pleasant and seated us quickly. Waitress was nice and food was delicious. I had the Cubano and my Wife had the Rueben. Both were fantastic. Did I mention the awesome hard cider on tap! Only issue was the flys, however we were sitting outside.

This place has great atmosphere and makes me feel like I'm sitting in an authentic pub. It has a pretty decent beer selection and a good sized bar to sit at. We didn't try the food but what we saw looked good. This is a great place to stop before going to a game or event in Durham.

The decor in this place is quote eclectic. It's a pub for sure. I didn't taste any of the food, I was here to drink, and drink I did. What a good selection of beers on tap.
