I stopped in for a quick beer this evening and tried the Golden Pickle beer. It definitely had a very unique taste. I could definitely taste the pickle juice. The line for food was pretty long and the place was packed, so I'm guessing the...More

The Parrish St pale ale was good and the duck frites were pretty good as well. Unfortunately though, they should definitely check out the menu at Twisted Root Burger Co. to see what a good burger should look & taste like. I watched about 10...More

This is a great place for food and draft beer. They make just about everything themselves. They even go to the farms and establish relationships with the people they are buying their food from. Very cool.

The grass fed high quality burger was worth every bite! They make their own mayo and other condiments. The fried pickles were only lightly fried and best I've ever had! I love they take pride in all their ingredients and part of B Corporation. Ready...More

We stopped in on recommendations from the hotel courtesy van driver. I was expecting a large sports bar or brew pub type venue but it isn't much more than a burger joint with a bar. We had to order everything at the bar because no...More

Burgers are ok, fries are great, service is great. Before you order a hotdog, ask about them. I think they are the healthy kind :)

Interior is bright but not sterile. You can get a tummy-filling burger for a very reasonable price. Their veggie burgers are quite good. They do samplers - and you have to love how they serve them. Beers are very good, if not outstanding. If you...More

Bull City Burger is our family's first choice for local burgers. It just so happens to also be an excellent micro brewery. The owners are very engaged with the local community and do a nice job of staying involved. I highly recommend Bull City.

The best thing my family and I had here were french fries. I was not a fan of the burgers! We will not return.

Order at the counter and find a seat. The menu is no nonsense. The fried pickles to start are crisp, non oily and fantastic. The beer cold and varied and the wine just fine for a burger joint. The "dirty" fries are good - not...More

Sorry...am just now seeing your question. I don't recall if there is a full bar. I think so, but can't swear to it. Sorry not a better or timely answer

Description
Bull City Burger and Brewery is a locally owned, independent restaurant and craft brewery located at 107 East Parrish Street in downtown Durham, NC. We opened March 2011. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner 7 days per week with approximately 90 seats inside plus 60 seats of outside year round patio dining. We offer family friendly dining with a children's play area, as well as a semi-private meeting room for business gatherings, events and presentations all within full view of our own brewery. The restaurant is very much "farm-to-fork," working closely with North Carolina pasture-raised beef farmers supplying beef with no added hormones and antibiotic-free, that we grind daily to make our hamburgers and all-beef hotdogs. We work with other farmers growing vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers for pickles, and lettuce. The menu is streamlined with nearly everything produced on-site including house made buns, sauerkraut and bacon. We use no artificial sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup, and no hydrogenated oils. We like to say we are like fine dining in a burger joint. We make the mustard, the slaw, the pickles, the mayo, the aioli, the hotdogs, the relish, the... We are Durham's oldest brewpub and THE local pasture-raised classic beef burger of Durham.
