We stopped for carry out lunch and got tacos and burritos. They were fabulous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This place is a quantum leap better than the chain across the street.

Great food. Very small, but very accommodating. Authentic Mexican food being served to Mexican patrons — so you know it’s the real deal! Quick stop between Asheville and Raleigh.

I soooo want to give this place 4 stars or better. We've been here half a dozen times which should say something. About the food. Very good food. We love the food. Atmosphere - not so much. Sometimes you find a hole in the wall...More

A more traditional taco place with counter service, small dine in area. Was good but not outstanding; overall not my kind of place. I likely will not return -- but I know others here who love it! Try it at least once to see if...More

I try to come once a week, this place is great. I love to try different foods and El Taquito offers quite the variety. The tacos tripa are wonderful, employees very friendly. The cold beer is icing on the cake.

This small restaurant (seating inside for 28) serves excellent Mexican food; food must be authentic based on the 90% Hispanic clientele during our visit. We had taquitos (of course), a tamale, and a sope. All fine. Diners can help themselves to a kettle of beans...More

You won't find better Mexican food at any restaurant within 50 miles. Very easy access off I-40. Authentic; everything excellent. Small place, 8-10 tables, juke box sometimes a little loud. Really easy on the wallet. If you enjoy Mexican cuisine, don't pass this place by.

If you love authentic Mexican, check them out. Awesome tamales. We have tried many in the area and theirs are hands down the best we have found. Definitely recommend.

Really authentic, simple, fabulous food. Wide variety of meats, sauces, drinks. Not a lot of seats, but worth the wait or take it home. Nice people. Did I say the food was fabulous already?
