We came in to chimney rock after 7 and everything looked closed. After checking in to our hotel and getting no help from the front desk person on places to eat, we stumbled upon Riverwatch. We ordered fried pickles and cheese fries for appetizers and the plates were gigantic! For our entrees we ordered a order of wings, an order... More

Great bar and restaurant for watching sports after hiking Chimney Rock. There is a variety beer selection on tap and we were given samples before we ordered. The onion rings are sliced thinly and deep fried with a crisp crust. They are delicious! The grilled blackened mahi was mildly seasoned and didn't appear blacked but maybe poached. Was not what... We always try to stop here when we are in the Asheville area. Yes, a lot of it is typical bar food but there are some dishes that stand out. Their potato salad is over the top good along with the burgers. The setting is great, especially for lunch on a sunny day. Also a great beer selection but have... More

It was a great place to eat right off the river!! Great service, food, and views of the river! Also there were many things to choose from off the menu!

I guess after reviews and a high ranking on trip advisor we were expecting better food. Maybe it was just because it was a slow night, not sure. Small portions and not very tasty, Out waiter was very kind and we didn't follow his recommendations. Maybe we should have.

We had just walked Chimney Rock deceived to have lunch. The outside decor attracted us and walked in. We decided to sit outside and our very nice server was Toni, she was helpful with choices and gave a list and suggestion of beer for my husband. I decided to have the potato salad with my sandwich and it was fabulous.....we... More

It could be personal bias, but looking over the deck railing to see a mountain river below with its rushing waters, boundless boulders, and crisp fall air is "as good as it gets." The food includes standard bar & grill fare and the ambiance is relaxing. During the main tourist season (October/November), the Chimney Rock area may get a bit... More

Ate dinner outside with an incredible view of the French Broad River. Food was excellent as always. Truly one of my favorite places to eat.

While in the area my wife stopped here for lunch because of the wonderfully inviting deck off the backside of the restaurant. We both drank the White Zombie beer which, I believe, is from Catawba, N.C. She had a bleu cheese burger and potato salad and I had the hillbilly hotdog and onion rings. The hillbilly hotdog is covered with... More
