Salmon, chicken and collards great. Stone grits tough and pasty. Pancakes goey in the middle. Waiting and waiting again to get my empty glass refilled. Not my waiter but lady that brought me food out asked if we needed anything else. After asking for rolls and drink refills she tells us I am NOT your server.

As you know I am a food snob. We like to sample the appetizers to give us a preview of the entrees. We have been searching for a place where we feel comfortable since we moved to South Carolina. Not only was the service outstanding (thank-you, Jim) but we felt so welcome. The calamari was outstanding .... tender, flavorful, perfectly... More

We had a party of 14 so it was a bit of a challenge. One granddaughter ordered a flat bread pizza which didn't arrive until all of us had finished our varied and excellent entrees. Waiter and manager were quite apologetic. The fault was in the communication between computer and printer. The manager comped the pizza and provided two excellent... More

We visited Trio many years ago when it first opened, and in fact took our college-student daughter there for one of her birthdays, along with the rest of our small family. It was one of the first nice restaurants built on Hwy 51, which was once just a long stretch of farmland. When our college freshman granddaughter was home for... More

The food, service and decor are all very good. This restaurant has been around for years and with good reason - Charlotteans have discovered it. My favorites are the Mulligatawny soup and the side salad with their "Killer" dressing. The soup has just enough spice to it and is very hearty. The salad is always fresh and their signature dressing... More

This is family-friendliest restaurant we've found in Charlotte. The environment is warm, welcoming, and friendly. The staff are superb. The food is delicious and served promptly. But the bonus is that it's so family-friendly you can feed (and drink) a reunion-sized group for a little more than the price of a dinner for two at one of Charlotte's more pretentious... More

We were there for our daughters 16th birthday party, Had a big group of more than 20. We had such a good experience right from the start of planning the event. Gary took care of us. Had a vegetarian 6 course delicious menu.I have a hard time thinking about it because the flavors are so distinct and well balanced, picking... More

The Food is Excellent! We had the Calamari with the Lemon Mayonnaise and it was quiet tasty. My All time favorite is the Cobb Salad with Chicken and their Delicious Salad dressing that goes with it is A MUST!! My Husband really enjoyed the Baked Alaskan. That was his 1st time there and he said that he would definitely return.

Asked server twice for extra salad dressing on side at time of order. Salad served NO extra dressing. Asked third time. Waited over five minutes. No salad dressing. She checked two booths in our area. Did not check if we were OK. We had to stop her. She would not come to our table. Stood behind post. I asked her.... More

Trio provides a blend of traditional and contemporary foods. Salads, sandwiches, pizzas, steak, seafood and pasta all house made and served in a cozy and unique dining environment. You may choose to dine in a lively bar area, in cozy booths with views of the landscaped outdoors, in an open central area with linen-dressed tables and our warm wood-burning pizza oven, in a semi-private room, or "al fresco" on our patio. Our restaurant is a smoke-free establishment.
