We just got thanksgiving breakfast here for a house full of relatives. Couldn't have been better. Best biscuits in the area, huge bacon egg and cheese biscuits with sides of hash browns ..life saving with all else closed....

My teenage daughter and I had to try this spot when in town for a recent college visit. We were not disappointed. My daughter found the small building charming and we were both impressed at how quickly we got through the drive thru line despite being behind 7 other cars. (This was around 9:30 on a Saturday morning, for reference.)... More

This little drive thru place is worth every bit of the fuss to get there. They have zoftic biscuit sandwiches at a good price.

Was looking forward to a true southern country ham biscuit while I was in town, but truly disappointed. I was craving the salty, moist bed of bisuitly deliciousness especially after seeing some great reviews of Sunrise. So, I stole away from my conference on my lunch break to pick up a biscuit. Very disappointed. The biscuits were dry and lacked... More

Very nice staff. Quick order to eat process. Food was a bit too pre-prepared, seemed a bit cold; egg was particularly disappointing. Still - go - but don't expect piping hot fresh off the griddle.

This place serves up great biscuits fast. But it is a Chapel Hill institution and so on weekends and game days the line of cars snakes out of the parking lot and down Franklin Street. Insiders know that you can park and go in. When it is not busy you can be through the line and have your food in... More

I love the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. It is bigger and tastier than those in fast food establishments. There is only one location in Chapel Hill and one in Louisburg. They are only open for breakfast and lunch with a variety of delicious biscuit sandwiches.

These are simply the best of Southern Biscuits!!! The line can wrap-around the drive through window. Don't get discouraged. Simply park and go inside to order and you'll have your food in just a few minutes. No matter, though, the wait is so well worth it! You'll have the best biscuits you can find anywhere (sorry Bojangles, but these are... More

I don't know if ownership changed or what, but Sunrise Biscuits seem to change some time over the past 16 years. The biscuit fillings seem the same, but the biscuits themselves no longer have the buttery crunch on the outside and fluffy insides. They seem to fall apart more while being spongy at the same time. Their fried chicken is... More

Description
Bigger Better Biscuits for Breakfast and Lunch! In brief, Sunrise was established in 1978 in Louisburg, NC (actually 1977 but that is a longer story) and has been responsible for providing Bigger Better Biscuits for Breakfast and Lunch ever since. Our biscuit recipe is based on my Grandmother's recipe. Her biscuits helped give her the stamina to give birth to 17 children and live to almost 100. Our Award-Winning Chapel Hill location is a Drive-Thru Only Restaurant for your convenience. The Louisburg location features a Drive-Thru option as well as seating. Our regular customers particularly value our great food and fast, friendly service. In addition to biscuits, we also serve hamburgers and hot dogs. Our sandwiches include barbecue, chicken salad and tuna salad (chicken and tuna salad in Chapel Hill only and made on-site). A real southern treat is our sweet tea. Come by soon! Our Chapel Hill restaurant is located at: 1305 East Franklin Street Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (919) 933-1324 Our Louisburg restaurant is located at: 208 S. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC 27549 (919) 496-2609
