Full range of great Turkish food, wonderful staff and service, and street seating if desired. A must visit and then you fall in love with place, a small recessed curtained area allows a private dinner for two.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly owner/waitress, and excellent fezzes and main dishes. Grilled fish superior, lamb with eggplant sauce as well. Would strongly recommend for special dinner occasion.

Great ambiance and service on a cold February night. Out food was outstanding. The menu was very diverse and offered options for a variety of tastes. Braised leg of lamb over a egg plant puree was a big hit. All in all, we would give...More

I have been planning to visit Talullas for years. They have been a mainstay on Franklin Street for quite some time. I have a couple of favorite places to eat in Chapel Hill, so I never seem to make it in. Last night, I decided...More

This restaurant offers the opportunity to try Turkish cuisine -- akin to Greek, but with its own unique and exotic twist. One nice feature is the excellent choice of Turkish small plates (mezzes), which we choose as a dinner instead of entrees. The cold mezze...More

We had wonderful time one night for dinner, weather was cold and rainy so not many visitors, we set by the window looking on the street... lovely atmosphere and great service! We had a fish dinner it was amazing. Coffee and desserts were great too.

Sharing an evening with Neighborhood Mon's from all ethnic backgrounds was enjoyable at Talullas on West Franklin St. My dinner was simple compared to the others, with a nice mix of veggies. My kind of meal!

they have valets there but if you drive down Franklin (away from Tallulah's) and turn right at the first (or second, I can't remember clearly) crossing there is a public parking space

Graduation is a special situation and the advice of others is very valid. My visits have been in the summer and it was immediate seating when we wandered in.

Description
When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
