We waited in the rain for 25 minutes but it was worth it. Ran into some folks who travel from Winston Salem just for Sunday breakfast! Great home fries, good coffee. Try the truckers breakfast if you are hungry. Only negative I can give is we were given the table next to the front door and the door doesn't have... More

This place always provides great service. I go here for Sunday Brunch a lot. The food is high quality but fairly inexpensive for how delicious it all is. I went to school at Appalachian State and I didn't start going here until I graduated, which is sad! This is my go to breakfast place. I recommend the Melanie's Big Breakfast... More

Best cup of green tea I've ever tasted. Yummy farm eggs. Expect a long wait, this place is tiny. The Hubster got a very beautiful Eggs Benedict. The French Toast looked good.

Finally able to visit for dinner. Open for dinner Thursday thru Saturday. All entrees tried were wonderful for four. Scallops and grits incredibly creamy and fresh. Crab cakes light and delicious. Meatloaf grilled and yummy with mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. Short ribs tender. They are already well known and loved for breakfast and lunch and now the dinner was... More

Tried this place for dinner and was pleased. Menu is small but all offerings all sounded good. Dining area is small. Be prepared to wait on a busy weekend. Enjoyed chicken and waffles with really nice syrup and the grits were great too.

First time eating here and really enjoyed it. Lots of vegetarian options & a diverse menu. Will definitely return again on a future visit to Boone.

The wait was an hour, which was perfect so we could walk around downtown first. They have a texting service which allows you to walk around and the restaurant texts you when your table is ready. We sat outside and loved every thing we ordered. If allergic to bees don't sit outside! Bees were all around searching for sweet things... More

Description
Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners. Now open evening hours with a new small plate menu, Booneshine beer on draft and wine by the glass. Come see us Thur-Sat evenings and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on our beautiful deck while you watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Boone.
