Really excellent food and service. Larger wine list but out of our first choice. The beef tenderloin was really outstanding. Very interesting menu options and pleasant ambiance

I am not a big fan of game type foods. This was pretty good, but still not a big choice for me. The ambiance is very good. Service was excellent.

If you want to eat on the wild side, this is the place! Beautiful setting for a Resturant. Owner is super nice! A must see place and original menu!

Visited Gamekeeper with long time friends. We dined on everything from fresh mountain trout to farm raised elk, boar, bison and rabbit. Everyone enjoyed the amazing tastes and selection. A bit out of the way which adds to the mountain charm. Reservations a good idea.

Not your regular restaurant. The elk was great and the emu was such a surprise. It looks just like beef filet, but tastes just as great. Also had flash fried oysters. I would go back again just to eat those. Pricey, but well worth the...More

This is a must see. My buddies and I went to the Gamekeeper. We had reservation s. Highly recommend it. Make reservation s because the place is small. Tucked away in the mountains by Grandfather. So beautiful. Bar opens at 5.

This restaurant is off the hook! A bit off the beaten path, and it's menu is too- nothing ordinary about the items at all. We had elk, bison and emu. Our appetizer included duck and rabbit. All were served with side dishes that complimented them...More

I highly recommend getting the meat sample appetizer. I think the meats vary based on availability. We had elk, bison, rabbit sausage, and boar sausage. We all thought that the elk was to die for as an appetizer. For entrees we got elk, duck, and...More

Good restaurant. It was a cold and rainy prom night, but the house setting is lovely. Food was good and prices high. We enjoyed our elk and duck and do like the fact that the meats are unique to even a typical nice restaurant. Service...More

Old cozy home environment nestled in the mountains. Fabulous views. Unique and wonderful wild game menu. They also have more traditional meals for the less adventurous. The food is superb, truly gourmet. Try the mixed grill appetizer - 4 samples of wild game to start...More

They do have an outside seating area/patio. I have not seen any dogs there though I don't think it would be a problem. I would check first.

I have dined there several times and it's awesome. There are no beef steaks, it's game, I.e., ostrich, venison,duck,pheasant...extra.
