This little restaurant is downstairs off the street and seems a little dark at first. But once you find it your tummy will be happy. Our food was excellent and the desserts are yummy. Check out the specials and try the pickled onions! Even though...More

I visited on a night when the place wasn't too busy. There was a guy playing and singing on a small stage, the bar area was full, but there were several empty tables. I sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender, ordered...More

Excellent restaurant in Black Mountain. Stopped in on our first day on vacation and had a delicious lunch. Sandwiches were excellent. Highly recommend.

Full bar, some nice taps with local beers and ciders, good sandwiches and some limited other entrees. Sunday brunch was particularly good - better than the regular menu.

Seems like a mostly good experience... where did we lose the two stars? I have recently come on as operating partner and welcome your input. If you wouldn't mind, shoot me an email with specifics on how we can improve. Thanks for your time, Newton@BlackMountainAleHouse.com

Went here after a day of looking at houses in the area because of outdoor seating. Surprised at the quality of the food and the gluten free choices. Also good beer, wine, and cider choices.
