adorable and delicious lunch at a small, family bistro in the middle of old-town St. Emilion. Though tempted by what looked like the best burger ever, I went with the salmon which was outstanding - cooked just right (med-rare) with a side salad; my wife...had the Caesar salad which was fresh, generously sized, and straight out of the garden. Amazing glass of local rose and a truly cheery attitude by the server (owner?).More

Wonderful courtyard seating with attentive staff. We had a variety from the menu and the risotto was the favorite.

One of my best meals ever. I literally shed a tear. The food is excellent, the wine selection lovely and the ambience is perfect - away from the chaos of the central square in St Emilion. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favour a book ahead...to secure an outside table.More

Roy was so much fun. Such an absolute gentleman and we had such a laugh with him. The food was absolutely divine and the service was top notch. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend if you are in st emilion. Thanks Roy for...the fabulous hospitality. From the 3 Irish girls who tried our best with our French 😜More

Impressed first that one individual serviced entire upstairs on a Saturday evening and he was appropriately attentive and patient with our limited French. He seemed to appreciate our effort. Presentation and food were great. Location just steps from our hotel , lovely evening

Small list of wines and a few appetizers to go with. Roy does not speak english. And seems he prefers this way. So, start learning french to order!

A group of 6 of us ate here last week and loved it. The food was very good quality and the owner made us very welcome. Not to be missed.

The reviews and the location led us to choose this restaurant for dinner. Maybe because there was only one person servicing the entire terrace including a large and loud group of tourists it became a rather disappointing evening. The food choices were very limited, and...the steak was tough and tasteless. Very, if not an extremely limited choice of wines by the glass for the center of right bank Bordeaux. I guess we just had a bad evening otherwise the reviews are not understandable.More

We decided on a lovely Sunday lunch in StEmilion and after checking reviews decided to book here... Weeeell... hmm... disappointing really. The reviews generally put this restaurant as Excellent and one of the best in StEmilion... Yes - location and atmosphere were good (although the...Ed Sheeran album on repeat wasn't really that good), and service totally fine, however the food whilst ok was nothing more than that and for the price... disappointing. The food wasn't bad at all; but nor was it special or exceptional; just ok. I totally don't mind spending 100Eur+ on food (plus wine) for 2 as long as the food is as it should be - it just wasn't at that level sadly. Time to find an alternative in StEmilion...More

We were visiting St Emilion as part of a wine tour and found this restaurant when looking for somewhere for lunch. The set menu looked interesting, and we weren’t disappointed. The black olive sauce accompanying the grilled duck breast was a real highlight for us,as...was the delicious gazpacho starter. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. This is not a budget option for lunch but we’ll worth considering if you want to treat yourself.More

Booked the day before through a well known website. Replied to their call within 10 minutes to confirm, 20 minutes before coming. We then came at 1.40 for a 1.30pm booking and were told off quite brutally that we were "late" even though we just...talked over the phone. The "head" / "owner" kept on ranting she would neither take any lesson from us nor apologise. I felt really abused by this behaviour and just decided to leave after kicking an empty table off. I've never seen such unjustified and mean behaviour from any hospitality staff. I just think people as rude as these ones should be banned from any tripadvisor advertisement.More

Had a really nice experience. The côte du boeuf was well cooked with a nice serving at the table. Some pallet cleansers were served during the evening. Really nice (but pricy) wine list but I missed a dedicated sommelier. Friendly and alert service in general....Price worthy.More
