Haveli is very convenient for travellers making long road journeys between Amritsar and Chandigarh, Shimla, etc., as we were They offer several food outlets around a large outdoor seating area which is clean, beautifully maintained and which even offers a few interactive activities for children, such as a well that they may draw water from, using a rope pulley. Hygiene is clearly a priority at Haveli because every food station was immaculate with all food handlers wearing head covering and none of the people handling food handle cash. You choose what you ant to eat, pay at a pay counter and then take your receipt to the appropriate food stall where they prepare everything to order. The food is fresh and tasty and the toilets are very clean with hot running water, soap and a choice of hot air dryers or paper hand towels.

Fantastic Dhaba - midway between Chandigarh and Amritsar

This is a fantastic place to take a break if travelling by road from Chandigarh to Amritsar or vice versa. The food is typical Punjabi Dhaba style with additional popular choices like dosa. There are some stall outside where you can get street foods like samosa and some candy/snack/soft drink stalls as well for a quick grab and go. Plenty seating inside but evenings are very crowded.

It was an incredible experience. From the warm and welcoming ambiance to the impeccable service,However, what stood out the most for me was the delectable Punjabi cuisine they served, particularly the Channa Bhature and Amritsari Kulcha. Apart from the delicious food, I must commend the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly the Manager, Rashpal ,He was a true gentleman, always ready to cater to our every needs

Very bad management

I went on 2 july 2022.Very bad management on weekend as 2nd was weekend. Manager was useless , crowd was too much. Manager was using a walkie talkie uselessly to give instructions to workers and waiters.Manager told me we need to wait only 2 minutes as there was no table available and waiters were telling me actual wait time is 15 minutes. So there is a difference bw the two things. Many families and people finished there food but still were chit chatting and could leave and make some tables available. Managers should ask them to leave if they have already finished food and not allow them to sit for prolonged times on such crowded days. Overall bad/mismanaged place. Don’t go there over the weekends if you don’t wanna ruin your experience. (Note : I am talking about Jalandhar haveli)

Family visit

Located on the bustling GT Road ( National Highway No 1) , just five minutes away from the world famous Lovely Professional University it was an absolute delight having a Christmas Lunch. With guests having come from the United States we began with the Lassi served fresh in earthen glasses living up to the eco friendly spirit. We had a collection of breads along with Dal Makhni, Kadhi, Bhindi served steaming hot. The food was fresh, service was prompt, considering the massive turnout of tourists. Social distancing norms were followed and the staff was appropriately geared in masks and gloves. The food was light on the palate, we also devoured the iconic Sarson ka Saag and Makki ki Roti. The saag was served with a layer of butter on top of it and the makki ki roti was also soft and hot. Upon culmination of the lunch we had two gigantic sized gulab jamuns to satisfy our sweet tooth. The guests from USA had kheer which was an absolute delight delight and their teenaged son was extremely thrilled. The guests also took back the earthen lassi cups as souvenirs and we returned back home in an hour extremely satisfied. We decided to skip dinner, woke up early the next morning and went for a jog. Overall, a great experience.

I love Indian food but this one was terrible. Palak paneer wasn’t salty but aloo gobhi and other dishes was salty to much. Even dessert wasn’t tasty. Paneer pakora was the only one what was tasty for me. Staff was ok. This place looks amazing in side but nothing else. I don’t think so I will come again.

Service and cleanliness is going down

Being a punjabi and living in Europe, I must say I have always enjoyed Haveli Jalandhar most. But in recent years, the service and cleanliness has gone down drastically. The staff and waiters are not not polite, they are just trying to get things done. I understand this given the rush hour but you cannot compromise the quality. My parents visited Haveli few months back and they got an iron wire in their vegetable dish (Saag). That was life threatening. Today I visited Haveli again giving them another chance, the glasses and bowls that were suppose to be clean were all oily and greasy. It appeared nobody is paying any attention to cleanliness, especially during these COVID times when we all are hoping to avoid the virus and eat healthy and clean food. I am getting super disappointed. The food quality is very good, I hope the management will look into it and will improve these aspects.

Visited this place as i usually stop there during trip but this time Noticed there food counter manager i think his name is Varinder is a rude person gave him slip for Noodles and he throwed back like he was drunk . was talking rudely with everyone then another person took him to room . avoid this place till they have such People on duties

BAD EXPERIENCE

I visited this place on 24/03/2023 on a rainy day with family and friends specially to have dinner and long drive from ludhiana. It was a warm welcome as there were boys with huge umbrellas to guide you towards the restaurant to avoid rain showers on you. There are few stalls installed outside the restaurant of quick bites . To my surprise I was informed that outside food from stalls shall only be served inside if we order main course ( dinner ) with them although stalls are also run by the owner of the restaurant. I did tell them that I shall order dinner only after having snacks from outside but I was told to go out and help my self with self service and they would only serve me if I place order for dinner with them .. Disgusting Although I had dinner there only because I was accompanied by my family and friends But I was completely unethical and Disgusting

An excellent place to stop on your travels

An excellent place to stop on your travels for drinks and/or meals. Plenty of choice of food outlets (make your choice, pay and then go and pick up your food and drinks) and loads of seating, with fans spraying water to keep you cool. Friendly staff throughout. Large parking area, figurines and other displays to keep children amused and clean toilet facilities.

The food flavour was terrible, especially the roti was hard like rock. The staff was mimeering among themselves All the items we ordered were not available. The staff said no to things when we ordered and later they bought it when we requested them as we were in the middle of the meal. We came to relive our old memories but it was awful

Amazing ambience

Haveli is on the GT Road and is beautifully decorated on Punjab village theme. The food here is delicious particularly the tandoori paranthas and lassi. The toilets are spotlessly clean and they even have punjabi jokes on the walls.Overall a wonderful experience on the highway.

Worth a visit if in the area

Have been to Haveli many times over the past few years. It is a popular and bustling place night and day, with fast food stalls outside as well as the indoor restaurant. Have noticed a slight dip in the quality of the food (although the kheer remains excellent!), with the menu now also including western style fast food such as pizza. I suspect that they are trying to cater to all tastes, but should perhaps concentrate on the core punjabi vegetarian food. Clean washroom facilities. Worth a visit if in the area.

Worst experience ever

We order wood from outside stall. It started raining outside. Cashier told us that we can go inside for shelter and to eat. Inside manager get frustrated on us and said we are not allowed to eat here. He refuse to provide us tabel. He told us we can sit on floor and eat. It was horrible experience. We felt like we are some kind of poor begers. I come outside and try to talk to there supervisor or owner for this issue. They refuse to give me any info. I am USA citizen i offen stop on Amritsar haveli. But today i choose to stop at Jalandhar haveli. I never felt so disrespectful in my life. I hope their owner can reach me at 9779497037 and i can explain everything.
