The Fenwick Crabhouse has been on our list to try for several years now. Wish we had left it on the list instead of eating there. We went specifically for the crab cakes. Both of us ordered crab cake sandwiches, which came with fries and a pickle. They looked delicious upon arrival. However, when we tried to eat them, they... More

a stand-by for us when we do our annual visit to the area. crabcakes are top notch, as are their scallops, very fresh and well prepared. if you like bread puddings, ask the waitress when you sit down if they have the coconut bread pudding that nite. if so, save room for dessert !! its awesome

Deep fat fried everything. I'm not necessarily apposed to fried food, but this was over the top. The soft shell crabs were so fried, I really couldn't tell what they were. Not cheap either and the service was shaky

We have visited this restaurant for over 20 years. It is a great family place but is going down hill. All restaurants face rising costs, but they have reached a all time low. They now add $3 to the children's meals after 4 pm. Mind you I am talking about chicken tenders and pasta with a little bit of sauce.... More

We arrived at approximately 8:00 p.m. on a weeknight. Upon entering we noticed many empty tables which was the first warning as this is during "the season" with most restaurants doing a booming trade After a short wait a server appeared and did bring us the water we requested, but he then vanished and had not returned after a good... We came in for dinner on sunday. I ordered crabs my wife ordered a steak. The service was slow. The business was steady that day. I have been here in the past based on the crab cake review they got. It was not good then, but I felt I should give them another try. Well I was disappointed again, crabs... More

We wanted dinner for lunch and they didn't hesitate to accommodate us when other restaurants had turned us away. The staff catered to us. Th food was fresh and delicious!

The Fenwick Crabhouse <was> one of about half a dozen restaurants we frequent for dinner when we visit Ocean City. It's been 2 or 3 years since we went there. I suppose my expectations are founded on enjoyable memories of prior visits. How foolish of me. Cosmetically, the place hasn't changed that much except for the grand and ornate sports... More

Hi Ric, I remember speaking with you the night you were in.You complained that the Jumbo soft shell crab and 8oz. fried flounder where too heavily breaded and that you would have preferred them broiled. Unfortunately you registered your complaint with us after the bill was paid and you were leaving the restaurant. Waiting until then left us without the... More

Fenwick crabhouse has been around forever and has good seafood. The only bad part is that it is rather expensive for what you get.

We went to the crabs hack on rt 54 in Fenwick island. It was a small place with dining tables around the bar. The food was delicious, but it was so noisy even at 3pm in the afternoon that we could not hear each other. Great place, but more of a bar scene. The food was served hot, promptly, and... More

Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a "favorite seafood dive in the US" for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark "The Perfect Crab cake" (NY Times), Delaware Magazine's 2011 "Best Ribs," and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and award-winning beverages to the table. The Fenwick Crabhouse is a seasonal restaurant off-season hours change before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Call for hours.
