Ok, so you sit on cushions or lounge chairs, in mock Bedouin style. Fortunately, unlike the pictures on the menu, no belly dancers were present. We had a good family style meal, and the kids got a kick out of the seating. The mint lemon-aid was perhaps the highlight, but everything was solid enough. We had a mix of veggie... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat that was a bit more formal than so many of the other places, not in hotels, or served over a counter, along that stretch of the Dead Sea coast. So glad we found the Taj Mahal. It's set back a little and being mainly tenting it's not that obvious from other eating places.... More

We told the waiters and they said they'd warm it up, but it just came back cold again. We got a shrug and no compensation. The food isn't... More

A restaurant is a service industry, a place to eat, otherwise there is no point of its existence. We arrived and stood there for 10 mins with the pram, trying to smile and get the passing waiters attentions, with the owner, his wife, 5-6 waiters, one would expect someone to come over. Eventually, we requested to have the experience on... More

There are not many option in Ein-Bokek, especially on Friday, so we decided to take a chance on Taj Mahal restaurant. And boy, what a pleasant surprise. We called ahead of time to make sure they are open and get directions, which turned out to be a good thing, as the owner who answered the phone made sure we had... More

This is a fun place to have dinner and very close to the Spa Club Hotel. Setting options were at a table or sitting on cushions on the floor.

Ein Bokek is a hotel complex by the Dead Sea with few independent restaurants. The Taj Mahal is one of the only free standing restaurants and it is a more pleasant, cheaper and better quality place to eat than the hotel restaurants.
