We waited for 1h15 to get a steak and a vegetarian dish, although there were only 2 occupied tables. Plus the food was not fresh nor good. Avoid it.

If you're in the mood for Ethiopian food, this is a great spot. Excellent service. Spicy savory dishes. And a lovely garden to relax in. Very filling. Note that there is no Wifi.
We loved our dining experience at this restaurant. Great service and excellent food - plenty for vegetarians and vegans! Lovely dining area with frankincense burning. Definitely a restaurant to visit again.
Abyssinian is hands down our favourite restaurant in Stonetown! The food is delicious every time we visit and the garden patio is a perfect shady escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy Zanzibarian streets. Being vegan, I've always found an abundance of delicious...More
I always wanted to eat injara and this was my first time. Food is really delicious and makes you feel full afterwards. Staff are very nice and helpful, serving time is not so fast but not so long either (stone town fast...). They serve alcohol....More

Went here for my first try of Ethiopian food with my daughter. She recommended we try a vegetarian combo (we had #2). The food was absolutely awesome! Plenty of it as well, we were stuffed. We were the only ones there at 6 for dinner...More
I have tried a lot of authentic Ethiopian food and this place is 100% up there with the best. I am unsure why people complain of price when I believe you get what you pay for and what you get is a fantastic dining experience....More
We went there because we wanted to try their bread made of teff. Sadly they didn't have it. A nice women welcomed us, and the location was nice. We ordered a combination dish with chicken, beef and lamb. It was ok, nothing special. A little...More
Way over priced for the mediocre food served here. The Injera is not tasty. Have had Ethiopian food before and this is not my favorite.
