This cafe is in a very good location right on the waterfront boulevard. It serves very good coffee but we wanted a sticky date pudding as it is known for this desert. They did not have any unfortunately. We also went there for breakfast one morning and the service was very friendly and efficient. Food was good as well. During... More

This place is right on the water and in a big public garden area, so the atmosphere is cool. I got a really good calzone, some very cheap but mediocre ice cream, some good hot chocolate, and a very good milkshake over two days. Can't be beaten in Africa for the price.

Enjoying some snacks, meet Zanzibar people as you watch the boats and ships dock and unload there cargo as well as watch the ferry come in. On the side you get to watch the youths do some spectacular diving stunts you wish you were young again. It's just a wow place.

Cafe Foro has the best location in Forodhani- Stone town tight in front of the Old Fort facing the sea. They area is not too busy but lively enough to enjoy coffee, masala tea or a quick snack while enjoying the sea breeze.

Masoud, the owner, takes special personal interest in all his food outlets to ensure good service and good food. Every time you visit one his three places I know--the other two being "Archipelago" and what used to be called "Dolphin", he shows up to oversee things. Decent food, decent prices and decent service.

It's right at the beach you can see the traffic on the ocean as they get to port and live as you have your drink or food

I ordered kingfish and chips (fries) and it was good, but I think it's hard to run across bad food in Zanzibar. This place is in Forodhani Gardens and the seating is outside, so you're guaranteed gorgeous views no matter which way you turn your head. Less views at night, but it's considerably busier, so that provides excitement too. Staff... More

It does indeed look like a food stand . Mains are 10-15000 Tsh , and and the menu is quite limited -but it is cooked really well . I had Kingfish with chips and a mango relish. it was cooked as well, if not better, than in a fancy restaurant. Others had tuna and were equally impressed. And do consider... More

This is more of a food stand than a restaurant, but it's very good. The food I had there was excellent, and the cafe is in a park on the water, so it's pleasant to sit outside and eat..
