The hotel served us a delicious breakfast including local fruits and Spanish Omelette - the custard apple juice was the cherry on the cake!

A lovely restaurant with top views of the city. The food is good but a little bit pricey for Zanzibar. Do recommend for the amenities

if you have been in Tanzania you know that 40 dollars for one person to eat is not just to much... and of course if you pay that amount you expect the best and your expectations is very high!! unfortunately this place didn't fulfill any...of my expectations!! The food was very bad.. I gave two stars for the service and the view.More

I had lunch in Emerson hotel, in the garden on the ground floor - I'd highly recommend that experience as well as the rooftop. Both are equally unique, the views are amazing, and you're right in the heart of Stone Town

We visited Emerson Spice rooftop for sunset drinks and for their set menu dinner. Whilst the staff were polite and it was really nice watching the sun go down and hearing the magrib azaan sing out, we thought the dinner menu was very average for...the price charged. I'd suggest going for the sunset drinks, but skipping the dinner.More

I recently ate at Emerson Spice for their seafood tasting menu on Oct. 2. The meal was fine until the bill came. Wanting to save my dollars for future tips, etc. I paid by credit card. Instead of being charged $62.50 for the meal, I...was charged $625. I immediately alerted them of the mistake and asked for them to cancel the charge. They proceeded to tell me that because of the hour their bank was closed, but that they would contact the bank in the morning and cancel the charge. INITIALLY, the 625$ was pending on my card for 5 days and dropped off. Now come Oct. 22 and I see a charge on my cc for $625. After speaking with my cc company, they are telling me that this is actually the INITIAL charge from Oct. 2 that FINALLY posted weeks later. So management etc. completely lied to me and decided to keep this RIDICULOUS charge of $625 which now I’m having to dispute with my cc company!!!More

I got a chance to have lunch at Emerson but not visit the rooftop. The historic building is spectacular, unique and very charming. Great place for lunch with nice ambiance.
