Great restaurant! Was able to accommodate a very large party very easily. Great service, and the food was fantastic! Would recommend especially if you are in town for a wedding party.

We had a Rehearsal Dinner at Ruggeros last Friday and it couldn't have been any better !! Coordinating the logistics, menu etc with Chet and Carlos was a pleasure - both were very accomodating and professional . The food was terrific, the portions were huge...and the service was the best! I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Thank you for a memorable event - it was fantastic working with you .More
This is a good place to dine in Wading River. The lunch price menu as good and if you dine late enough, which I did, you can even turn this into an early dinner. Food was delicious and service was good. Would recommend this place...to others.More
Just had a fantastic lunch with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Food was amazing, cooked to perfection! The waiter Matt was super attentive and friendly - would go again!!!
Thank you and Congratulations on you Anniversary. Cheers!
Pros: Server was excellent Bread and spread were fresh and excellent Cocktails were acceptable but not the best on the martini Service was very fast and professional even though they had a large party in the back room Veal parmesan was tender, tasty and a...nice portion for the lunch special Cons: Fork had encrusted food on it Found a piece of a brillo pad in the first chicken francaise and sent it back Lost appetite on the second chicken francaise and didn't finish Chicken francaise did not have a creamy, lemony sauce, just some water in the bottom of the dish and tasted terrible One of the glasses of wine had bubbles around the top that looked like soap had not been properly rinsed outMore
Chicken cutlet Parmesan was over cooked and edges burnt. Meat very tough and meat still had grizzle on it. Will not be going there again. Sauce tasted like jarred sauce.
A good choice for dinning when out east in the Wading River Area. Dinne and enjoy the shoppes at East Wind.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Cheers!
Let's start by saying that they lost our reservation for the wedding party rehearsal dinner. They had another wedding party (probably double booked or something) in the nice area with flowers in the back of the restaurant, where as we were forced to sit in...the front area. (Not the biggest issue but it got worse.) No apologies, no compansation for the situation but then just kept getting worst. Then the waiter by the name Dario L was very rude to some of our table... Have me an issue about ordering appetizers with the drinks. I asked to put in an order of calamari in and he was short and dismissive saying I'm going to do the drinks first and refused my order storming away quickly. Aside from all this, several items came out incorrect or was missing chicken to the dishes. parmesan was added to some of the dishes when it was asked to be omitted. If you forget to add things to dished... I don't feel it's right to force someone to wait longer for their foot without doing something extra to fix the problem. He knew why we were there.... A dessert would have been cool but he clearly was judging us from the beginning. He wasn't advocating for us at all and we really are genuinely nice people. Not difficult at all... He was very short spoke with a bad attitude... Bread was not given to half the table... It also didn't arrive till halfway through the meal. To add insult to injury, at the end, he tossed a calculator at us saying "you're giving me a headache watching you try to do math" as we calculated the bill for everyone. Then proceeded to just stand there over us watching becoming very impatient the whole time. I honestly wanted to get a manager involved but one couldn't be seen in sight. I also didn't want to cause a seen as we were there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I did tell a staff member that his service was extremely poor. He ruined the family event on so many levels. Not the scale to be expected from a restaurant like this...terrible service.More
I attended a wake/celebration of life for a friend a few weeks back, the experience was fresh and enjoyable. It was a simple family style lunch but I would come back and try it again or think about booking a party here. I liked the...private garden room in the back, and the staff was very nice and fast with drinks. Solid chicken parm and pasta spot, The broccolini was super fresh. I do like more lemon in my Chicken Francese, but it was perfectly cooked. Looking to try the new chefs food another day.More
we traveling though farm country and wanted a bite to eat. We found Ruffero's Italian. It was tucked into the top of the shops at East Winds in Wading River. We had great fresh pasta, a bronzini and some broccolini. To out surprised right out...side is a full sized Carousel. the Kids we super happy. Definitely worth the trip.More
Thank you so much for great feedback and review. We were so happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and look forward to the next time you are passing by.
Went here when they first opened and it was okay but it has gone waaaaay downhill. Atmosphere and service are good but food is terrible. Eggplant parmigiana was tough with a of cheese tossed on top and a little bit of sauce. Very rubbery. Chicken...park was a piece of prebreaded chicken over cooked in a deep fat fryer. With a little tasteless sauce and a slice of cheese. Bread basket is good bread but would be better served warm. Menu is limited too. I hope they redo their menu and get a new chef. Since it’s the same owner as Eastwind & Desmonds I am surprised the quality did not match the other eateries. I haven’t been to East Wind in a while but it used to be good. It has way too many poor reviews since 2018. Obviously they are not listening to what people are saying and making the necessary improvements.More
I just moved to the area recently and didn’t know what to expect. I took my mom there on. Friday evening. First impression was it was more casual than expected. I felt like I was in a cafeteria. There were no table cloths but maybe...that is due to COVID. We were seated on time for our 6:30 reservation. The waiter approached us immediately but we hadn’t had a chance to look at a wine menu or drinks yet I knew it was a mistake to turn him away because then it took him a long time to come back to us. The same to continue through the night the waiter just was not available for us. We each ordered shrimp Fra Diablo . We were very impressed with the portions; jumbo shrimp along with clams and mussels in the shells. The clams and mussels had so much sand in them . Aside from that they were very good. It took a long time to get the waiter to give us our check in at that point because we hadn’t seen him earlier we let him know about the sand we were not looking for anything I was not looking for any sort of discount he did not even apologize the only thing he said was well we clean them. I don’t know if I am a waiter at a restaurant and there’s sand in the shellfish I am apologizing to my customer. That was disappointing I gave him a full tip and in hindsight I wish I hadn’t. I will return but if I see I have that waiter I will request a different server. If we order shellfish again and it’s gritty I will not return to that restaurant and I will write another review either way.More
We made a reservation a week in advance with the request of sitting outside. When we arrived at 4:55 for our 5pm reservation, we were told that there was no more space for outdoor dining. For some reason, they were not sitting anyone at the...tables outside in the front and they were "at capacity" for the new back patio area. We were sat in the center of the restaurant and although they were limiting capacity, they did sit a group right behind us and another off to the side with less than 6 feet between tables. The portions were on the smaller side, considering what you'd usually get from an Italian restaurant and nothing came with the main course. If you wanted pasta or a salad or a vegetable it was an extra charge. The service was odd. Not exactly poor, but certainly not good. There would be a long stretch of time where we wouldn't see our server and then all of a sudden we would feel rushed. The food was mediocre at best, lacking flavor. We live locally and will not be back. I believe that the only reason this restaurant will be successful is because of the East End tourists that need a place to eat on their way home. Too bad, because it is a very nice building and a great opportunity.More
My first time was in February with some friends. Had a wonderful experience. The food was great & the price was reasonable. Going back 3/2 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I know he’ll love it. See you tomorrow.
Went with family Saturday night. Food was terrible. My grandson got sick from mussel dish. We all did not finish out meals. The band was too loud and awful. The first time we were there, every thing was fine.More
Dear R.D. So sorry our food did not meet your expectations. We hope you mentioned your disapproval to your server. Our food is made from the freshest ingredients daily, so not sure if it was the mussels that made your grandson sick. Thank you for...More
