My family and I ( 16 of us),went here after burying my Mom at Gates of Heaven cemetery. Since we live out of state ,all our plans were by phone and e-mail. Louise, the owner, was extremely helpful. She was very easy to work with. The food was excellent and the portions were large. We had a great time, in spite... More

This was our first visit and we were very pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Crossing burger which my husband could barely get his mouth around it was so big, but he was very happy with it. I ordered off the Octoberfest menu and the Weiner schnitzel was great as were the potato pancakes and red cabbage. We shared the Huge Brownie... More

If you drive on The Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla, you have passed this place. It is the old railroad station. This place could be very charming if it played up the railroad theme more. I usually like restaurants with dim lighting which this has but it comes off dreary. The food is average but prepared well. Portions are large.... More

Hi Paul, Thank you for your review! Glad you found our large portions to be well-prepared and reasonably priced. I recently connected with a gentleman who helped convert both train cars back in 1973, and he gave me many slides of the whole process. I will be making prints and hanging them at some point - something I think rail... More

My wife set up a luncheon with a couple of her girlfriends at Valhalla Crossing. Its just down the street where our son lived. Its also next to the train station making it convenient for lots of rail riders. On this occasion I tagged along. We sat overlooking the train tracks in this converted rail car. The chicken wrap with... More

I love this place and the food, however, I went twice last week, and the hostess was not pleasant both times. The first time she was yelling at one of the waiters for some reason. Not sure what it was but she should not be speaking to anyone like that. Also, she is not friendly and very sarcastic when taking... More

I pass this place everyday and always wanted to try it. Decided to go one night after picking up my son at Westchester airport. It is located between the Bronx River Parkway and the Valhalla Metro North train station. This restaurant is a railroad car restaurant and it is beautifully decorated. Parking, unless I missed it, is very limited. We... More

Well, in my head at least. We had been to this restaurant before but never sat at the window at the rails. We were with friends, and I wasn't expecting the train, nor did I know the window was that close to the train. Well, woo hoo, I was thrilled and kept woo hoo'ing all the rest of the trains... More

The restaurant is near some cemetaries one of which, unfortunately, we had to visit. After the burial 10 of us came to the restaurant. The service was excellent as was the food. No mistakes in the orders as sometimes happens with a large party. The restaurant is unpretentious with a wide enough selection to make everyone happy. It was a... More

I have been thinking about this place since I had been last. It was pretty good. I had their Louisiana chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and the fries were like an upgrade and were completely tasteless. The wrap was good but not as much as I remembered it being. My sons pasta was just alright. I told the waitress... More

On our way from N.H. to MD, we stopped in for a quick bite. We ordered the Baby Back Ribs special and Chicken Parmigiana. The meals for on the table quickly and our waitress, Nikkie, was very attentive. There was enough food for 4 people instead of 2. We had plenty of leftovers. It was a great experience.
