People were very nice. I ordered cheesecake and a cookie. Cheese cake was disappointing>very chewey but the cookie was good. Wanter to know if I wanted to add a hot drink for a dollar but I told I wanted a chai that was going to...be more. Not likely to go again.More

This place is one of my go to spots in troy. Their jazz brunch on sunday being my favorite... but ANYTIME it is really great! Always fresh food prepared for you not sitting in a cooler... coffee and iced tea to die for! Service excellent....Give it a try! Its cash only but so so inexpensive it doesn’t require a credit card to walk out full!More

Been there twice recently and had the same experience both times. First time wanted a sandwich to go and the person at the register asked what bread I wanted. They gave me a list of choices and I picked sourdough. When they rang up the...order there was a $ 2 upcharge for sourdough. Then yesterday I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and asked for it on a croissant. This time I clarified that yes there was an upcharge of $ 1.50, but I said okay. The person at the register asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato and onion. I said no onion and they rang it up. Once again the figures didn't add up. This time I find that there is a .50 charge for tomato. So decent food but gets pricey with the upcharges.More

I visited the Daily Grind this past Monday, and really enjoyed it! The baristas were excellent - made good recommendations to make sure everyone had the perfect drink. We had our coffees there, and found it a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of seating and some...games/magazines as well. The coffees were very good, as was the everything bar we tried. Awesome!More

We parked near the historic St. Paul's church which was closed. The coffee shop was nearby. We had already done lunch, but on entered, were invited to be seated for lunch. Coffee only - we were served very quickly and on our way. The coffee...was very good - tasty and smooth. My companion had almond milk. By observation, this would be a place that would lead to conversations with other clients, a place that I'd like to drink more coffee.More

We were a demanding group of 5 for breakfast .. aged 3 to 70, arri ing at different times, and needing a birthday candle lit on a muffin. The waitress and cook handled it all with aplomb...hot coffee and breakfast for all, admiration for the...new light-up sneakers of one, prompt candle lighting. And great food and coffee. Couldn't have been better!More

I was visiting the area, and a friend who lives in the area raved about this place for its great coffee and superb breakfast. We stopped in on a Saturday morning, and found a table in the rear seating area. A very friendly and helpful...Brian explained the specials of the day, but my friend told me that the eggs and corned beef hash were the absolute best. After we ordered, Brian was back with some strong and flavorful coffee. Then came the best part. Davianka the cook brought us our plates of hash, eggs and a toasted croissant. She'd inadvertently broken the yolk of one of my friend's eggs, and returned to the kitchen and made him another one. That's attention to detail. The hash was the best we'd had anywhere, the eggs were set just right, and the croissant was the perfect companion. Davianka explained to us that the hash is made with two kinds of peppers...red & green bell peppers, and chipotle peppers. The chipotles gave it just the right level of spice and heat to make it a memorable, unique dish. The printed menu and specials board displayed a wide range of other breakfast fare. The Daily Grind is also open for lunch until about 6PM, but later on "Troy Night Out." Tips: 1) seating in the the front (near the street) is self-service, and the tables in the rear are served by the waitstaff, 2) this is a cash-only place, and there is an ATM within the restaurant, 3) this Troy location of The Dailyl Grind has live music during Sunday Brunch hours from 10AM to 4PM.More

Came to the Daily Grind with my brother, sister-in-law and my boyfriend for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the waitstaff. I enjoyed a wonderful French toast, which was served with berries, whipped cream and syrup. Also,...I would highly recommend their hot chai lattes, which I had as well. I'll definitely be back to this quaint spot when visiting my brother.More

Went to meet family as we were driving through. Boy has Troy changed in recent years. The front of the shop is deceptive and understated. Inside it is quite spacious and goes back a fair ways. Coffee was spot on and delicious. Had the Heath...Bar Latte and others had regular coffee and hot cocoas. Chatted so much we ordered lunch which was very fresh and well prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. Would back again next time we pass through.More
