Probably one of the best meals I have had. Super creative with the Sicilian fennel salad, excellently prepared octopus, tuna tartare, snapper with orange sauce. The orange sauce on the snapper was perfect, not too much, perfectly glazed. Octopus which can be tricky was done...to perfection with just enough seasoning not to overpower the octopus. Drinks were amazing! Manhattan perfect. Can't wait to go back. Amazing. Service was excellent with the owner stopping by not once but twice to check on everything. Wish they were in Raleigh NC. Loved the venue and the very welcoming feeling and comfort of being there. Thank you!!More

Nice food and very nice service. Beautiful outdoor seating area. Food was good, fairly reasonable prices. Sit outside if you can. Inside is a bit loud.

I love this place. The menu is not extensive & your food doesn't arrive immediately but that told me that the food was freshly prepared. The wait staff was very friendly but not intrusive or fawning. Although the food probably would be considered new American,...there was a little something for everyone & even the standards had interesting accompaniments. My only knock is that the parking lot is rather small & being that the place looked like it was fully committed, the person doing the driving had to park across the street & even then had to hunt for a parking spot.More

In response to Olivia Manger Hazard. Yes I did arrive early because of a tight schedule and we were allowed to enter the restaurant early. You mentioned that we were offered drinks while we waited. They were not free drinks and you did move the...table .There is a draft from the back room that isn’t heated, and there was an elderly lady in our party ..The service part of this restaurant is great , the food was not. I don’t appreciate your reference that is was looking for monetary reimbursement. I didn’t want to complain about the food but after contemplating I did. Yes you could have sent complimentary certificates for 2 dinners , instead you choose deflect and blame me for not mentioning the overcooked food . I might have dined again at this restaurant even purchased a bottle of overpriced wine but your attitude as a manager is unprofessional.More

Just had the catfish dinner and it was amazing. My wife had a wonderful, fresh salad. Everything is perfect here. Staff, service, atmosphere, drinks, food are all 5 star. Why would we go anywhere else?

I ordered the sword fish special. I am a senior athlete known for my fitness and performance. So thrilled to have such a beautifully prepared dish with fresh green beans and a healthy grain. Nothing smothered in butter and a nice portion- not huge -...I had enough left over for a light lunch. Nicely priced and the best dinner out I have had in ages. We dined on the patio - a beautiful summers eve. Thank you to the Cider Mill team.More

Online reservation didn't have option to take our name. Wine list is lacking any choices. Deviled eggs had no taste, even with the unnecessary bacon bits and burnt cheese crisp. Boneless pork loin was cut too thick for the rest of the plate. Substituted fries...for the sweet potato "smash" it is served with. The veg was mushy (zucchini mix.) The salmon farfalle was drowning in too much sauce. The salmon was crumbled so small it got lost as did the vegetables. Much too rich a sauce for the quantity. The creme brulee was a good size serving and the one good item of the meal. The overall menu has no sense of direction. We will not be back.More

We visited the Cider Mill a third time for our anniversary last week. We sat outside on their new patio. Service was great & our meals, Roasted Salmon & the Crispy Tofu Stir-fry were delicious. With side salads, one beer & 4 glasses of house...wine & one dessert the total was just over $100. They even gave us a complimentary split of champagne as my wife mentioned our anniversary when asking for a patio table while making the reservation! Class.More

Did not offer white zinfandel or Stella beer. Service was terrible, asked for ice with water and it never came. Took exactly one hour for the entree to arrive - We opted for a Caesar salad instead of an appetizer - good thing or else...our dinner would have taken 2 hours. We saw other tables wait for the food to arrive as well. Food was plentiful but not spectacular for the price. It was quite noticeable the staff was inexperienced and that management did not know how to handle large parties of 6 or 8 efficiently.More

My daughter and I sent to the Cider Mill before going to the Landmark Theater to see Cats -- so we were there earlier in the evening. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. We shared the deviled egg appetizer which was really...great. The filling was the best I've ever had in a deviled egg, and the seasoning and lox made it all the better. My daughter had the sirloin, with potatoes and green beans and said it was really good, cooked to an excellent medium well. For dinner, I had the oysters and lamp chop lollipops -- outstanding! The only downside was in what I guess would be called, atmosphere. The main dining room was not full, but they seated us in a back room where the only other people were doing a wedding tasting. They were loud, obnoxious, whiny, ass*&^%. We couldn't hear one another talk because they were so deafening with their meeting with their booming voiced wedding planner, who had an extremely loud and obnoxious demeanor. We now know every detail of a wedding we will never get to go to! Service and food were great. Not sure worth the price paid based on the rest of the experience, but... also not sure it was something the Cider Mill could have controlled.More

Our party of four enjoyed dinner at The Cider Mill in late April. Three of us had the spring risotto with cod. Excellent. My husband had 2 appetizers instead of an entree: salmon sliders and lamb lollipops. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. Service was...attentive and professional. Our server, Rebecca, was very knowledgable about both the food and drinks menu. (It is frustrating to ask a server their opinion about a dish, wine, or drink and have them say they haven't tasted it.) Rebecca enhanced our dining experience. The Cider Mill accepts reservations, and you can make them online. Very easy.More

Excellent meal, great atmosphere. I can’t believe I haven’t visited earlier (I live less than 10 mins away). We had the prime rib and the sirloin. Both were outstanding and cooked exactly to our specifications. And the sides? While many restaurants treat the sides as...an afterthought, the sides here were stellar. Nicely seasoned mashed potatoes. Fresh green beans and asparagus. Honestly - it shows an attention to detail. I wish I had had room for dessert. They were house made and sounded wonderful.More
