4 friends and 4 grown-up children visited to celebrate an anniversary. An almost un- noticable entrance to grotto-like restaurant. First out: un unforgettable carpaccio with mushroom, next: a rustic carbonara, then: a piece of pig sucling and finally: zuppa di inglese like I have never tasted it before. Others also had rabbit. The carpaccio was excellet, a best ever had,... More

To find a gem like this in the hidden town of Carbognano was a pleasant surprise. A Sunday night with friends and family was spent here. The place itself is art, the cave like look with frescos and small things to look at. But it was the friendliness and the food that made the evening. Carpaccio from veal was excellent,... More

We joined a group of Italian friends for a Sunday afternoon lunch in a small town that a tourist woul be hard pressed to stumble on. The dishes (ordered, presumably, by our friends) flowed, one after the other. Each was terrific! Mom cooks and charismatic pop orchestrates. One or two, of many, dishes were a little salty for our tastes... More

Went there last week with my wife and a friend, two nights in a row. Mauro welcomes you with a friendly nonchalance, he looks like a philosopher of ancient Greece. The minute you are inside the Locandina you feel at home. There is a written menu, but we didnt even open it. Mauro feels like he's your friend. He acts... More

A great find, worth the visit just for the decor and the typical Latium village atmosphere. But the food was the real treat, authentic deliciously cooked throughout the meal. Good choice of wines and all reasonably priced (about 30 euros for antipasto, primo, dessert and wine).

Excellent local food in a fantastic local filled with antiques from the neighborhood. Ask Mauro, the owner, to tell you the story about the mural painting on the wall in the main room - it's a story that could be translated into a blockbuster movie a' la The English Patient. Best are the small starters (anti pasti - it is... More
