Went there for dinner with a date. Sat at the bar and Tom as a personable bartender. My date had a Lemondrop and I had a soda. My date liked the drink. For dinner, I had chicken caesar salad. Serviceable. Nothing special. It was fresh. My date had the Steak Night special and it was very good. It came with a salad, 16oz Porterhouse, a side and dessert for $45. The steak was cooked to order and it was very tasty. For dessert, we share a piece of cheesecake with a strawberry glaze. Very good. The service was excellent all around.

Family dinner

This was a nice local place for a casual family dinner. We went on a weekday night and the restaurant was fairly crowded with lots of families, young and old. The service was a little slow but friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and portions were large. We'll be back!

A Tuesday night at Mim’s was delightful. Our reservation was on time. Excellent service, our server, Evangelos was always attentive throughout our meal. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. We ordered country chicken pot pie, linguine primavera, and from the Tuesday prix-fixe menu, classic caesar salad, double cut pork chop and a decadent Oreo chocolate mousse cake; Everything was perfectly prepared.

Worst service I’ve ever encountered

I was seated at Mims tonight and continued to sit there for 30 minutes without a single waitress coming to the table. No one said hi, or apologized, or even bothered to bring over water. It was easily noticeable we needed to be waited on. 5 different waitresses walked all around us, but we were still ignored. Another couple was seated next to us and were waited on in about 5 minutes. I understand it gets busy on a Saturday night, but the fact that no one even stop and said hi or explained that it was going to be a wait was extremely frustrating. The reviews on the food and scenery may be great, but in the end, you have to remember that all doesn’t matter when the service is horrible.

Highly recommend Tuesday prix fixe 3-course menu that provides delicious food, excellent choices and large portions. Quiet homey atmosphere. Valet parking. Also shrimp BLT is back on the menu.

Good Place to Go With Friends

Came here for the first time recently for dinner with some friends. One of the group recommended the place. The food was very good. The staff friendly and the service excellent. A couple of us had the onion soup. Delicious, highly recommend it. Also, the grilled chicken with angel hair and sundried tomatoes was a treat. Would definitely come here again.

my friends and my husband came across this restaurant by chance, we googled a place for a late lunch, and they came up. The place was charming and cozy, if though the bar area was a little noisy when we first walked in the seating area was quieted. Our waitress Debbie was great and helped us with our choices for lunch. We enjoyed are visit so much we are going back there next week for dinner.

Nice place, valet parking so be aware of that. Food is fresh. Pasta, fish and vegetables. Service was fine and didn't chase us out, helped that it wasn't crowded when we were done eating. I'd go back again

Mim's had been our "go to" place for years before the pandemic. We have tried a few times since then with unhappy results from service to food. This week we tried again. Our waitress gave snarky responses to all our questions. Two ladies ordered the same thing I did: BLT shrimp wrap. Their shrimp came out like rubber. When they told the waitress, her answer was "You should have told the chef how you wanted your shrimp." Really? The food came out piecemeal so some of us were half through our lunch before the others were served. When I took half of my wrap home to have for dinner, I was surprised to see what I thought was a big piece of bacon in my wrap. Wrong. It was 1.5 inches of cardboard in my wrap. Mim's is off my and my friends' restaurant list. Full stop.

A solid neighborhood kind of place

This is a challenging time in which to rate anyone. On the other hand, it is a good opportunity to see how a resourceful restaurant is coping during the pandemic, and trying its best. When I went, there was limited seating on the interior--people placed at appropriate intervals. The tables were wiped down, and the menu appeared on your phone rather than as paper, although that was an option. i found the service thoughtful and attentive. The drinks could have been a bit better--too much ice. The menu has been abbreviated and so the choices were not wide-ranging. Having said that, I found the entree to be well-prepared and presented. Outdoor dining is possible in the area at the side of the building. Free parking.

Family pre holiday get together.

Family pre holiday get together. Six of us, and we all like different things. At Mim’s you can get a salad, a burger, chicken pot pie, fish tacos, steak.... basically you name it. All delicious. Reservations on Weekends are a must. Easiest to use valet parking. Good list of beer on tap and generous pours of the house wine. Many other wines to choose from as well.

Valet parking offered but we took easy on street parking. 5 couples taken on time for our reservation. Very leisurely Saturday night dinner. Place was crowded but not noisy. The menu is very varied from easy pub food to excellent entrees with sides. Lots of fish, meat, some pasta on the menu. Prices were reasonable for entrees came with salad and sides. I had the marinated skirt steak which was cooked as requested. Portion was adequate, tender and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their dishes which ranged from fish, to sides steak, to shrimp. Conversation was easy without shouting. Drink orders were taken and came in a well timed pace. I enjoyed my desert of banana pudding. I’d definitely return again.

You can never get a bad meal at Mim's. The staff tries very hard to get the food come out to you with as soon as possible in the best way...hot! I love getting my food at the right temperature. I couldn't believe how hot & tasty my Chicken pot pie was. It was perfect. Same as my coffee, Earle Grey and my birthday cake with some hot lava ozzing. I highly recommend Mim's for an amazing meal whether you have something to celebrate or just need an execuse to dine out. Go for brunch, lunch or dinner...you'll love it! Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables!
