first the cons..like anything else in Roscoe, if you sneeze, you will drive right by it. Having a bad back, there are no cushions on the chairs.. my bad, as i always bring a cushion for me for the pros. The menu is short and...sweet. This is tavern...servers were very attentative. I always order nachos at any place i go to.. my only suggestion is to ask for the cheese on the side, which i always do, just forgot this time. They had a nice combo of things in it. main courses were fajitas and pastrami and corned beef.. all came out and were cooked properly.. not salty.. so you know this wasnt oscar meyer. now the sides.. DEFINITELY not supermarket stuff.. potato .. macaroni.. and slaw were all freshly made. not sure if it was made specifically for the day or every few days. but regardless. you know when you taste it.. you may even order a second helping.. dessert.. only 3 choices.. so by all means.. i preferred the cheesecake.. it was light.. creamy etc.. i should have ordered 2 helpings.. yes i would go back again.. Oh yes,. they have wifi.. i suggest you use that instead of looking for a signal..More

We had a good dinner at the Courtyard. The food was very good by bar/pub standards, with good burgers, club sandwiches and grinders/hoagies. All of the side salads were homemade (macaroni, potato salad, etc,) Good selection of local craft beers and nice lively, homey atmosphere....Located right on Route 17 close to the center of town in Roscoe, the perfect place to end a day of fishing or hunting.More

You can sit at the bar or in the cozy dining room with the fireplace - warm weather you can sit outside overlooking golf course. Great food, great service. Unfortunately, they don't open until 12pm so if you are traveling through before that it won't...work.More

Very nice place . The food was good, but be aware it only has like 4-5 tap beers. Does have a pool table and very cozy decor inside . Very nice people there also.

The Courtyard is the prototypical upscale roadhouse. In the sportsman’s' hamlet of Roscoe, New York, it's rustic and woodsy, but updated and clean. Be sure you're comfortable with taxidermied critters of all kinds watching you eat (Roscoe is a hunting and fishing town). In the...good weather, the back deck had a beautiful view of a serene golf course which is great when you feel like quiet or great local bands when you feel like rocking. We usually eat at the bar, where Jen is fun, friendly and efficient. The fare is classic pub but offers enhancements like homemade soup (the corn chowder and onion soup are both great). The burgers are among the best I've had, BIG, juicy but not greasy, beefy tasting and made the way you order them. The fries are exactly what I like, a gentle crunch on the outside with a thick, hot center. Supplementing the bar is a pool table and (I guess, not my thing) some kind of gaming/lottery system. As mentioned in other reviews, Courtyard is popular with locals and the good music, good food and road side location on a beautiful byway make it a popular spot for bikers. Depending on the timing, you can visit Roscoe Brewing Company across the street and sample their locally brewed Trout Town beers and ales. If you're lucky enough to have Roscoe as a regular destination like us, or you're just passing through, we recommend Courtyard as a classic taste of the vanishing, unspoiled Catskills.More

Very good food, friendly staff. Gave us a couple samples of the soup, Philly Cheessteak soup, which was really good. We had the fish & chips which was good & too much to eat.

This is a local joint right on the highway; but definately not a dive. Everyone seems to know everyone's name. The bar was filled with locals imbibing on a Thursday afternoon and winning some sort of casino prize. We were fortunate to come across a...waitress with a Long Island accent. Truth is we couldn't avoid her as she was the bartender waitress and for all we knew, the cook. Her pleasant attitude and passion for what she does made us feel at home. The salads we huge and delicious. The sandwiches didn't disappoint. Next time we venture through these parts we'd stop here again.More

Once a year I have the pleasure of hanging out in Sullivan County, NY with several of my buddies from college (Franciscan University of Steubenville, Class of 1987), and the Courtyard has become one of our favorite establishments in the area. Good food, nice selection...of beer including local craft beer (like from Roscoe Brewing Co with is basically across the street, and Catskill Brewery down the road in Livingston Manor), friendly service and a fun atmosphere make this a must stop in Roscoe. Comfortable setting with a pool table, dartboard, etc, This is a great area for hanging out with the bros with the excellent fishing and hunting opportunities, or just enjoying the beauty of the mountains, and the courtyard fits right in as a great place to get a meal and a drink.More

Been going here for a while now. In my opinion, the best place to go in Roscoe. The wings are really good. Pizza is good too. I feel it's a bit pricey. Decor is nice. But if the bar is crowded you will not be...having a quiet meal in the dining room. Very wide open space. They recently expanded too. Have a pool table and dart board in the new area. It's nice. Friendly staff. Have met the owners a few times. Great couple. Wish them continued success.More
