Went back, burger is still good, but bartender/owner is a bit of a jerk to some customers. And don't even think about bringing kids, clearly not welcome.

Got there a bit late, so only food available was chili dogs. First one is $10 per person, then $5 per person for each additional. We got 2 each. They were...chili dogs. Nothing special. We also got draft beers. 12oz maybe, looked like 10oz, certainly...not full. $9 each. City prices in a rural, inexpensive area--no thanks. As I've come to see these days, the expected tip now starts at 20% and goes up from there. My whole life it was 10% for poor service unless they were really bad because and wanted to send a message because you knew their employer wasn't going to do right by them 95% of the time; 15% for good service; and 20% for exceptional service. Inflation was supposed to take care of raises, NOT increases in percentages. And now they expect you to tip on the tax, too! Absolutely outrageous and I worked 6 years front of the house. It's embarassing what they ask for now. But what really pissed me off is that they ALSO put on a credit card charge. The whole point of credit cards is to generate business revenue that businesses would otherwise NOT GET. Then to add insult to injury, the server says in a very irritating and condescending voice that I should feel comfortable to ask to have that charge removed if I prefer to pay cash. I tell you what, trying to get me to pay the fee for your benefit guarantees you will NOT GET my business. And making a customer request to have it removed in order to pay cash is probably illegal. Won't be back.More

Top Spot in Town? I think so. Trout dip was great, mussels were good, burger excellent. Friendly service. I'll be back to try other items on the small menu.

We were in town for the weekend. Planned to eat here but decided to just get our dinners to go because of COVID. Easy to order food by phone and pick-up. As stated, small but good menu; we were certainly happy with our food. They...also have a few cocktails which we didn't try this time. Two of us got burgers and two of us got the venison ragu. Loved all the food. Packed for us to take. The burgers came with fries.More

The western Catskills are beautiful but not full of great dining options--and certainly not a lot of contemporary ones. Enter The Junction--a fresh new place with a great name (Junction Pool is nearby) and fishing vibe and a well-conceived, small menu. As of now, they're...only open for dinner and drinks Thursday through Sunday, so plan for that. The owners are a charming young couple, and both of them were visible working tables when we went last weekend. The menu is truly tiny: three bar snacks, three starters, three mains, plus burgers. The options range from indulgent (fried chicken sandwich) to sensible (Kale Caesar and a Grain Bowl), with some real surprises such as Beef Tartare. My husband and I shared the Smoked Trout Spread as an appetizer. I wanted to lick the bowl. The saltines (yes, saltines) are elevated by a dip in a fryer and a sprinkle of paprika. We shared the grain bowl and chicken sandwich, and we agreed that both were the best examples we've had of either one. The cocktail menu looks awesome, but I stuck with a yummy Pinot Noir. The bar is lively, and I'm definitely having a cocktail next time. I could also see stopping here and hanging out after fly fishing.More
