We were very fond of Plum Tomatoes, so we were wary when La Sorrentina, a restaurant in Brooklyn, took over. But after three visits we were won over. The old pinwheels and pizza are still there, but the parmigiana dishes, seafood salad, gnocchi with pesto,...and other pastas are even better. Only the wine has gotten pricey. The dining room is elegant now with tablecloths. Only a couple of tables are for no table service, unlike before. Although all restaurants are closed, they still offer takeout. I encourage people to help out by ordering from them. They will be glad they did.More

Pizza is good. Wish they delivered it to my neighborhood. If I'm going that way home, I'll pick up a pie.

I recently had a meal there with a friend and it was very nice. Very good service, clean and very pretty place. The young man who waited on us on top of his game, nice respectful and attentive. We even got to meet his Dad...that evening and passed on the good news to him about his son. I will be going there to eat again soon!More

Raw pizza. Bacon on it during a lent Friday which is why I order pizza on Fridays. $27 and they refused to refund or send me a proper order. I had to spend another $30 on dinner for my family. Last time I ordered a...hero, I found a fingernail and they assured me the worker was let go and my orders would be satisfactory going forward.More

Everyone comes here to take out a pizza. But if people sat in the pleasant dining room, they would discover free bruschetta and rolls, good red wines, great salads, and especially veal parmigiana, pepperoni pinwheels (best ever), puttanesca, seafood salad, and many other made-to-order Italian...dishes. Yes, it looks sort of mall-like Italian kitsch. But that’s part of the fun. The service is young and earnest. Yes, the pizza is good, but having it here is even better.More

Locals are often divided on this place but more because of service and attitude as the food is very, very good. Various pizza options are excellent, family favorites include grandma, buffalo chicken, and margarita. Dishes can be good to excellent with regulars (chicken parm, eggplant...parm, spaghetti), all better than average with good portions. Some creative options are very good including roasted chicken corn salad, capellini arrabiata, and grilled seafood salad. Issues with delivery, staff attitude (kid servers are nice but not experienced) and credit card mistakes. There are other options in the area but if food is the only consideration, this is a good place to eat.More

A real neighborhood standout! They do deliver but dining at Plum Tomatoes is just fine...white tablecloths and wait staff do justice to the restaurant. The spaghetti marinara and dishes with clam sauce are excellent. For coffee and dessert go across the street to the bakery.

Ordered the special, lobster ravioli.. lobster pcs were overlooked, rubbery and small... There's nothing that is unfixable about this restaurant, just like there really isn't any reason to go back..

The pizza is good. A nice variety of different style of topping and the best ever garden salads. I like it with grilled chicken . Its enough to feed two people easily.

Listen to the locals.... Avoid this restaurant. Poorly run, rude owners and lousy service. Much better pizza all around town.
