We thought it was an antique store and was surprised to find out it was a cafe, with a beautiful bar. Fresh made foods. We had their homemade corn chowder, burgers, sweet potato fries and sun tea. It was very good. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful they had some antiques, furniture and things. Very nice bathrooms. A surprise... More
I went to lunch with a friend and was surprised how few people were in the place so at first I wasn't sure, but I was pleasantly surprised. I started with their homemade onion soup. It really was delicious. My sandwich came with chips and pickles and was a great deal. I finished off with their baked apple and ice... More
I have eaten here a number of times for larger family gatherings and just two. We have always been greeted warmly and seated quickly. The wait staff is always friendly, though maybe a bit too talkative at times. They now have a small section set up with antiques and collectibles that you are encouraged to browse while you wait for... More
The restaurant was almost empty with just one other table when we arrived, so maybe it was just an off night? We were greeted nicely and shown to a table and offered drinks. My husband ordered a coke and I asked for a draft beer. A younger guy came out to help our server with the beer and he told... More
The service is very good here. The owners are very friendly and talkative! There is always music playing which makes it very relaxing and enjoyable while you are eating. The food is good and the drinks are also good. We visit their once at least once a month during the fall and winter!
Saw this restaurant listed and decided to try it. Very quaint and cute atmosphere. Food is home cooking at its best. I had the fried fish sandwich with sweet fries and apple pie with ice cream. All were excellent! Very fresh ingredients! I had the feeling they are conscious of health when planing most of their menu selections. Service was... More
Grabbed lunch here for a business lunch. Typical fare for this area but everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was exactly as expected...a fish sandwich. Nice old building inside, attentive staff but parking stinks. All in all...give them a try
Especially if you like downtown Owego, Tioga Trails has almost become a bit of an institution. It used to be a place for good live music, in addition to the restaurant, but now, it's become part antique store, along with the restaurant. The food isn't stand out, but it's a good place to sit and have a bite, and watch... More
Friday 2PM - restaurant about 1/3 full. Took table near bar, server never came. Flagged down server, ordered a beer and requested menu. Server brought menu. Within a few minutes bartender brought the beer and asked me if I was done with the menu. I replied 'yes' and he whisked it away without another word. I guess he doesn't take... More
