My family and I had our first and last meal in Santorini at Lucky's and also went there in between. This was our favourite spot for a quick, cheap and authentic Greek bite in Fira. The pita, especially, is 10/10 - great and fresh food for an even greater price and the people working there made us feel very welcome! SO, so good!
From your tropical friends :)

A hole in the wall. Run by 2 brothers (I think). Super hot in their shop but they keep on working industriously. Ordered 2 pork, 2 shrimp and 1 falafel, 2 small sparkling water bottles and 2 sodas- total bill 23 EUR.
Food was excellent. What drew me to this place was not only the excellent reviews on Google Maps but that they had shrimp. My wife and I are pescatarians and this seemed to be the only place serving some fish/seafood inside a pita.
You would need to eat in the small park/open area opposite the shop. On bar height tables. Was really cool.
One thing: when you order don't assume the person who is cooking got your order. You will need to give your order slip to the chef for him to start on your order. Also be prepared to wait. They are popular.
Will be back.
PS: when we strolled around found a another place (Yogi's) serving similar stuff- with as much popularity- but that was more for tourists (in my view) and this is more the real deal.

We went to Luckys for a taste of authenticity and boy did we get it. A long queue awaited us snaking our into the street but in went quickly as the guys inside worked busily to prepare kebabs, gyros and souvlaki at tremendous speed.
The food is freshly made and the combination of bread, vegetables and meat as well as some secret spices made for a taste sensation. Was delicious and at just €2.70 per gyro it made me go back twice again during my stay.
Highly recommended during your stay in Thira!

This place was terrible and took forever to make one simple gyro. They decided to make a bunch of gyros for the lady ahead of me and a few others, who ordered 1-2 each. So we all waited upwards of 20 minutes for a gyro and they promptly forgot what I ordered and kept asking me what I ordered, and it would take them maybe 10 seconds to make (all the ingredients were there) but it took way too long to get. More than 20 minutes for a gyro! Are you kidding me. I was not the only one waiting either, others got frustrated as well. There are several not even a block away, go ANYWHERE but here.

After being to Greece four times I think I can have an opinion about souvlaki with pita.
We went around 22.00 and they were out of chicken and souvlaki - they said-. When we ordered two pita pork and waited for our food some people in front of us where served chicken and than he found some souvlaki sticks for us. The pita gyros: the pita was good, but the meat was dry and tasteless. The tzatziki was okay-ish but it couldn’t make up for the bad meat.
I honestly don’t understand the hype around this place. Maybe it was a bad moment?

Food was ok I guess but owner has a bad attitude. His definition of salad is some shredded lettuce and tomatoes. When I said I specifically asked for salad, that he said he can do before I ordered, he got really mean and said what do you want for 8.50. That’s already more than the menu price and I have to take his attitude for it. Try Yogis. At least the owner is more understanding of what you want. First timers eating gyros and souvlakis overrate this place massively.

On 3 October, at approx 15:00, I visited this souvlaki place. Inside (in an area of about 12-14 squared meters) were about 18 customers, all wearing face masks. Two employees behind the bench, one being the cashier and another preparing the takeaway food. Waiting time was over 25 min. The cashier did not wear a face mask. When I asked him why, instead of replying, he asked me whether I was vaccinated. Later, when at last my order was ready, I was given 2 pieces (instead of 3, which I had paid for). When I complained, the cashier started shouting and swearing in Greek language (by the way, I am Greek). He threatened to "come out of the shop and show me". I translated everything into English so that the customers (all foreigners) could understand what was going on. I got my order and left. Live your myth in Greece or leave your myth in Greece? I am really ashamed and appalled by the whole situation.

I would recommend this place for nice food at reasonable prices. The staff are pleasant and efficient. We ordered chicken and pork gyros with French fries and they arrived fast and were fresh and tasty. We will be back! It was lovely to come across a place on Santorini that isn’t so overpriced! It is a small place though, so you would be better off taking the food and eating as you walk, or going to find a seat outside somewhere nearby (there is limited seating inside on high stools). One last thing to say was that it was also initially confusing as to the flow of service - you have to go down to the back of the eatery to order and pay, you then get a receipt which you must bring back to the front of the restaurant and give to the man behind the counter there who makes up the food for you (he is so speedy at putting everything together)! So, I would definitely recommend you check it out for tasty and cheap food!

This was a top 5 rated place on trip advisor when reviewed for cheaper eats.
Lacks a lot of choice unless you want a cheap pork gyro. The chicken plate was € 11.50 as it was the only chicken option. The chicken was not fresh it was pre cooked skewers reheated. The chicken plate came with a small number of soggy chips and a simple salad of lettuce and tomato as well as some white sauce could have been garlic mayo but it didn’t really taste of anything. The staff seemed nice tho.
The inside has no air con so don’t recommend sitting in.
I would recommend only to some one on a budget as the prices are ok for Fira but the food quality and freshness is questionable.

The cheap prices do entice you in however the staff and owners are very rude and aggressive. We paid for 2 meals with €10 and needed change. The owner was forcing us to buy things we didn’t want to keep the whole note. We politely declined the offerings and then was told they do not have any change! What kind of restaurant doesn’t have change of a few euros in peak time?
Owner was getting very argument and rude and forceful to purchase additional items. In the end we left and went elsewhere, where he reluctantly gave our money back! Such a bad experience in a very popular tourist place, shame on them. So glad we left as if you walk another 15 seconds you’ll see so many nicer please way more hygienic, friendlier and better food and service!!
Definitely avoid this place

This fast food restaurant is small, but serves very good, authentic gyros. We had chicken gyros in a pie and took them away. They sell the food at a reasonable price, but the beer is too expensive, a bottle of beer is the same price as a portion of food. We didn't buy that here, but the gyros were delicious, well worth it.

I heard about this place from a Youtube Vlog, and had to check it out on my trip. We stopped by Lucky's and got a Gyro combo (gyro, fries, and Coke) and it was absolutely delicious! Amazing prices too (around $7 euros for meal). Definitely cannot wait to come here again!

Overall, we were not impressed with the Santorini food scene while on our honeymoon. Our impression was that most places were overpriced, and the food was just okay. This is another example of just okay food, but it was VERY reasonably priced in comparison, and as a result, it gets 4 stars. The best meal we had by far on this island was cooked by the crew of our sunset cruise. But, for a late night bite, or a lunch after visiting Old Port, it's a solid and affordable choice.

We got a small Greek salad for 10 euro and a souvlaki plate which is essentially souvlaki sandwich arranged differently in a takeout plate for double the price of a sandwich. Would have been fine if the it actually lived up to the hype of how good this places food was. Mediocre at best.

Disappointing
Food was okay,
Quick service and friendly, on the pricier side we paid €16 for two small gyros, (very dry) undercooked fries and two cans of coke.
Had gyros a few doors down the night before and was much better €3,60 and so tasty.
Won’t be back while on our trip.
