I am surprised that this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating on Trip Advisor. I have been here a few times over the years. It isn't cheap, but not super expensive compared to many places in the atmosphere. It has a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere similar to many restaurants in NYC. It's good for a romantic dinner or also dinner... More

This place was right near where we were staying and not expecting much was pleasantly surprised. Food was innovative and delicious. Octopus tacos are a must to try and the spicy tuna BLT was amazing. Drinks were great too. Highly recommend!

My husband and I ate here on recommendation from friends. The food was pretty good - the menu a little too fancy for my husbands' simple taste. I wanted to order the soft shell crab, but the waitress turned me off to them by refusing to ask if they could be sauteed and not friend and also being very specific... More

South Edison is a great restaurant located within walking distance of town. Also own a restaurant in NYC. Try the truffle fries as a side dish. Amazing eats

We dined at South Edison this weekend with a party of six. The food was wonderful. Fresh , native sourced ingredients blended perfectly for the most subtle and fabulous of all dishes! I had the fresh fluke a la Pannichaia. The Fluke fish was most asssuredly fresh, flaky white moist lean meat with a smashed turnip swipe...english peas,,grilled fennell, fresh watercress... More

We have been dining at the bar for the last five years on our first night in Montauk - one of our little traditions, which we enjoy very much. Our meal was very good - everything was quite tasty. We started with the Stracciatella Mozzarella and the Kale Broccoleaf Chiffonade - both very fresh with good flavors. We then did... More

This is our fourth time at South Edison but this is my first time reviewing it. The food never disappoints us. Love the vibe in the restaurant but it's the food that keeps bringing me back. The swordfish tonight was fresh and super delicious. The fried olives and lobster buns were mouth watering. Don't ever skip dessert! Tonight we had... More

This restaurant was terrible! Services was rushed, very expensive, and food was gross. Very disappointing! Had lobster sliders which had barely any lobster on them. Entree had too many ingredients. It's almost as if they were trying too hard.

Expensive, not enough non seafood choices. I really didn't want a burger but that was my only choice other than my husband's grilled cauliflower main dish. Cross contamination issues even forced the burger to be cooked in a pan and fried. While $14 on the early bird menu, it was served with not even a pickle for a garnish. Getting... More

OPEN MAY 5 - OCTOBER 10 for the 2016 SEASON Join us at South Edison and enjoy a menu packed with local seafood and produce. Chef/Partner Todd Mitgang, who developed our original creative menu, and Executive Chef Frank Fuschetto continue to craft new dishes to complement our customers' favorites. Frank has performed as pastry chef at South Edison and our sister restaurant, Bo's Kitchen & Bar Room in NYC, to rave reviews. This summer he proves he's a hit with savories as well as sweets. Walk right off the beach to try our extensive raw bar, a wide selection of wines and beers, and our signature Pickle Martinis garnished with house-made local veggie pickles. Our original cocktails also bring a refreshing start to a summer evening. After dinner, don't miss the extraordinary desserts. Just one block south of town, South Edison reflects Montauk's fun and casual atmosphere. Stop in, kick back, and enjoy!
