The last time we ate dinner in the Village Inn was twenty years ago - so our recent visit was dripping with nostalgia. To put it plainly, the Village Inn has always been among our favorite places - regardless of where we have been. Our return visit was no disappointment in any respect. The owners, Kathy and Shauna Cecot, displayed... More

One of the last fine dining places in Massena. Menu offers variety for any taste and many old favorites not found in new restaurants today. A must stop any time in area

I have nothing bad to say about The Village Inn. I have always received the best service, food, and drinks here.

I recently went to this restaurant with a group of friends for dinner. I thought we were eating in the main dining room where there is a large round table. I have found that in a large group a round table is necessary to confabulate. Rectangular tables isolate much of the group. I was disappointed when we did not get... More

We had to stay in Massena for a night after dropping our son off at Clarkson University. My iPhone recommended The Village Inn and we decided to give it a try. The classic decor and friendly and attentive service were encouraging, the food bland and heavy though it certainly didn't lack in the quantity department. Unfortunately, several hours after we... I am so sorry to hear that your husband was ill. I have not heard of any other patrons being sick from our food. My sister, the chef and her staff have all of taken food safety courses. We keep our foods properly refrigerated and use only the freshest ingredients. If you believe your husband had food poisoning I am surprised... More

The Village Inn in Massena is wonderful upscale restaurant at very reasonable prices. The service is excellent, the owner checks to make sure every detail is up to her patrons standards. Relish tray and home made bread started our meal and were scrumptious. The Turkey dinner was to die for. Prime rib was tender and cooked perfectly. Too full for... More

Looked on tripadvisor before leaving and choose the Village Inn for lunch. Noticed the hours before leaving - open Sunday. Found the place and it looked nice but was closed - no sign Only rated poor as there was not a 'n/a"!

My sincere apologies for not updating our Trip Advisor page. We are now open on Wednesday through Saturday. My sister and I run a very hands on operation. Due to my age and the lack of qualified employable people, we had no choice but to limit our hours. We open at 4:00pm. Hope that you will return again. Sincerely, Cathy... More

It was our first time at Village Inn and we enjoyed it tremendously! Friendly, warm atmosphere, we loved the English pub feel! The food was excellent, my husband's prime rib melted in your mouth and the garlic shrimp risotto was to die for!! We live in Montreal and will be making the trip back to enjoy this restaurant again!! Many... More

Cathy and Shawna continue the tradition begun by their parents in 1947. If anything, they have improved the experience. Homemade classics like cabbage rolls, St.lawrnce fried perch and their clam chowder are worth the trip. Theirs are daily specials, a relish tray and dessert cart that keep you coming back.

The meals at the Village Inn are excellent. One of the owners is the cook and the other runs the restaurant. I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and the dishes the Village are top notch. I never realized this until I went to Europe and the Caribbean and ate at five star restaurants.I think you should try... More
