We were here for a wine festival and saw this place. We decided to dine here after the wine festival and it didn’t disappoint. Hubby got one of their burgers and I got their pretzels with dip as I wasn’t very hungry. Hubby said his...burger was immaculate and my pretzels with the beer cheese and mustard dip was delish. Will return in the future if in the area again.More

We stopped in for a late dinner on a Saturday night, they are open until ten on Weekends. It was 8:45 and there was no waiting for a table indoor or out. We ordered a spinach/artichoke flatbread, corn fritters and an peach-brie burger. The corn...fritters were wonderful, a little spicy for my wife but I enjoyed them immensely. The flatbread was a little sour, not their best dish, I wouldn't get it again. The burger was unusually good, not just the toppings but the meat was just the right thickness and very juicy and flavorful. Iced tea was instant, but I drank it anyway since I was so thirsty. This was the second time in a day that the restaurant had instant tea, maybe it is a New York thing.More

We visited the Cask + Cow for the first time to try their Panko breaded fish fish because we prefer breaded fish over battered fish. Although the taste of the fish was very good, we were disappointed in the breading. It has flakes in it...which looked like panko but it tasted like battered fish. The fish were good and the asparagus was superb. The reason I am only giving an average review is because when I told our server I didn't want any coleslaw with my dinner, she asked if I would like a substitute. I asked what my choices were and she said any of the sides listed. When I asked what the vegetable of the day was and she told me asparagus (my favorite) I eagerly replied yes, please. When my dinner arrived, I only got the fish and the asparagus...no fries. When I asked if I was supposed to get fries with my dinner, she apologized and brought them out to me. When the bill arrived I was charged for the fries and the asparagus...and extra $6.00. I asked why and was told they was an upcharge for asparagus which is usually normal but I wasn't told that at the time and the asparagus was instead of the fries. I told her the fries are part of the dinner and I would pay the $2.00 upcharge but she should have informed me. The charge for the fries was removed but it was still a hassle. I don;t enjoy telling people how to do their job. Will we go back?...probably not. There are so many other places to visit with good food.More

Stumbled across this place while in Niagara Falls on business. So glad we decided to have dinner there. The food was great and the portions were large. Staff was attentive and friendly. Would recommend.

We were looking for a good dinner after a long day visiting Niagara Falls. Someone recommended this place to us. We were well received. Although I didn't like being in the back corner. The ambiance was fine if you like a loud place. Everyone were...enjoying themselves. Our waitress was very nice. It is the best burger I have eaten anywhere in the world. Each bite is filled with a sweet but slightly hot deliciousness. If the waitress had not informed me that the sauce was a peanut butter and banana, I simply wouldn't have known. It has caramelized bananas and caramelized jalapeños on it. Yes, you read that correctly. To top it off they used a banana and peanut butter sauce. Interestingly, the banana, peanut butter and jalapeños work well together. I just need to say this once again, "This is a delicious burger with caramelized jalapeños and caramelized banana with a banana and peanut butter spread." I asked for medium well. Bang, they hit a home run. Regrettably, I didn't care for the homemade chips. They tasted good but needed some sort of seasoning. My wife had the Beer Brisket Nachos salad. Their brisket is perfect. However, they only provided a small sampling on the salad. We suggested they make a brisket sandwich. It will be a #1 hit. List to me Cast & Cow. Make the sandwich and add a bit of seasoning to the chops and you'll win contests. If you go there, ask for the Hot Tempered Elvis burger. It's a bit too loud but it was a great experience!More

The new menu features really fabulous entrees, and the dessert from the local bakery (strawberry cake) was delightful. The server was very polite and pleasant. The restaurant is downtown and about one half mile from the river where you can relax after

All was great at the Cask, And Cow. It took a few minutes to understand most items offered goes with the hamburger. The hamburgers are huge, with prime meat. The servicers are attentive. Worth a visit.

Nice place, tough parking situation but work parking and walking. They have a nice selection on the menu and I think fair prices. Although I have never hung out at the bar it seems like a nice area. There is some outside seating but you...are right on the sidewalk on Center Street so there is street noise, but not awful, I mean it's Lewiston so not that much volume.More

We stopped here for a late lunch. The burgers are huge. I could only eat half of mine. They have so many burgers to choose from, I wish we could have gone back to try more. We both loved our burgers and our sides. (Sweet...potato fries and mac and cheese)More

We were at the cask and the cow mid week during Covid so it was very empty. The environment was nice. The wait staff was pleasant. My husband got a burger which was okay. Considering the burgers were the highlight of the menu I think...we expected better. I had the meatballs which were nice but were served luke warm. They reheated them for me but considering how slow it was there really isn’t any reason they shouldn’t have been served hot. My mixed drink was great. It was a cute place I would recommend going for a drink but skip the food.More

Visited Cask and Cow for the first time yesterday. Might be the worst burger I've had in a few years. The roll was dry as a bone. I ordered The Maverick which was supposed to have a Hungarian Pepper spread on it. It didn't. Seemed...more like the garlic truffle aioli, which would have been fine with me if it had been enough to moisten the dry roll. It also had some mushy mystery patty on top of the beef patty. I went back to the menu and there was nothing in the description of this burger that would equate to the mushy patty. The house made potato chips had good flavor, but about half of them were soft and rubbery. We won't be back. Lewiston has too many good placed to eat to warrant eating at C&C again.More

I went with 3 friends the night of the Sarah McLachlan concert at Artpark. I made a reservation because I figured it would be busy. The service was terrible. We waited over 40 minutes to receive our food and when I told the waitress that...we needed to get to the concert, her response was "you and everyone else". When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no manager but I could speak to the owner. Nobody could find him. Not one employee at this place seemed to care about how long we waited (with a reservation) or doing anything to help us get out of there quickly including getting our bill paid. There are so many great restaurants in Lewiston and this place does not make the list!More
