Homey atmosphere. Seat yourself, serve yourself coffee, which was great, until it ran out and it was challenging to get it refilled. Breakfast was delicious the first day, so we went back again, sadly it wasn't as good. Can't put my finger on what was...More

So I have stayed across the way at the motel a few times, and tried this deli. The first times it was not open as advertised..and we were dismayed. but good reviews made us persist. Most recently it was open. But hardly ready for people....More

The cat is already out of the bag - like other reviewers have commented, the older woman at the register makes the experience less than ideal. She forces her smile and answers, and if you’re a newcomer, it is an evident strain for her to...More

Stopped on a whim as we were leaving LP last Monday mid morning. Lucky for us. I had the corned beef hash and I order this dish often. It was without a doubt the example to which all others will be held up to for...More

We shared sourdough pancakes and an omelette. The food was good, the overall appearance of the restaurant was rustic.

Eileen's corn and clam chowder is outstanding!! Everything was fresh and tasty. We will be back! Saranac Sourdough on Lake Placid is easy to get to with plenty of parking! People should eat there first before heading to downtown Lake Placid.

I’ll be honest, I’ve eaten a lot of breakfast sandwiches and the best one I’ve ever had was at Saranac Sourdough! Sausage, Egg and Cheese, on Honey Whole Wheat. It was so good that I went back the next morning and got another one! My...More

I really like coming here for sandwiches. The prosciutto one is great and it’s literally the only place in LP that has one. I just really wish the woman who worked there was nice. She is never pleasant. Never. It’s a bummer too, since they...More
