The Dancing Bears Restaurant is one we go to at least once when we visit Lake Placid. The food is good and consistent. We like sitting at the bar, or bringing our kids and sit at a table by the window. It's not gourmet food...More

The service was fairly prompt but the overall quality of our meals was below par. The beef short ribs were tasteless as was the mashed potatoes/spinach combination. The fish and chips had a hard batter and the fish was dry. The fries were OK.

We have been to the Dancing Bear many times and it’s a 50/50 chance for good, friendly service. JamieLyn usually works weekends and she’s is often the alone, slow and unwelcoming. I’m not sure if it’s because she’s working the bar alone or if that’s...More

We ate here on a busy Friday night and were able to be accommodated with a party of 10. They have a wide variety to choose from on the menu and everyone was happy with their meal.
