What a terrific bistro. The signage is on the glass window so easy to overlook. We walked right past it. We dined at 5:30pm on a Friday and it was not crowded yet. The poulet and steak frites were both very good. The chocolate cake...was decadent and delicious. I would definitely recommend you give this restaurant a try.More

French bistro fare is my absolute favorite cuisine, so I know that the seeming simplicity of the menu can trip up a kitchen that just isn't up to the task. But this was truly perfection. But this kitchen and this server (Amy) just nailed it....The French Onion Soup was the best I've had in years. The steak frites was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the compound butter was just enough without overpowering the steak (I'm looking at you Ruth's Chris). Best of all, the wines by the glass are maintained at the perfect temperature - just the tiniest bit cool. If I lived here, I would go at least once a week. I'm only disappointed that they don't serve breakfast! This place is a "perfect 10."More

My husband and I had dinner here in August. We ate outside which was delightful; the restaurant is on a street full of restaurants in downtown Ithaca. The food and service were both outstanding. I had a wonderful bibb lettuce salad and the delicious onion...soup. My husband enjoyed his steak frites. There were many great wines to select from (including good wines by the glass) and the drinks were good. I highly recommend this really french restaurant.More

Food was fabulous, French onion soup delicious, great service. This was our first time here, we chose this restaurant because of great reviews on TripAdvisor, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Will look forward to eating here again next time we're in Ithaca.

Can’t say enough good things about the consistent quality of excellent food and service at this restaurant. The onion soup is amazing and we’ve tried various entrees and never been disappointed with anything. While a little on the pricy side, we’ve always found the experience...to be worthwhile. My husband and I have dined here twice--once in June, once in July; once with another couple, more recently with our adult son. Both occasions were delightful. Although I rarely order chicken in a restaurant, the server on our first visit recommended it highly. I...was not disappointed--flavorful and extremely moist. The potatoes were silky and rich, and the green beans were cooked perfectly. Despite the temptation to select a different entree during our second visit, I had the chicken again. Yummy. Other entrees were equally delicious. The creme caramel and, on our second visit, the blueberry-rhubarb crisp were outstanding. My husband really enjoyed the chocolate cake, which is a chocolate lover's dream, dense and deliciously dark. Service is attentive but not stuffy. The ambiance is lively with framed whimsical French illustrations and one large exposed brick wall.More
